OrderNomics overview
What is OrderNomics?
OrderNomics is a restaurant purchasing and ordering platform built by people who have spent their careers in kitchens, restaurants, and food distribution--and got tired of watching order day work the same frustrating way.
Restaurant teams buy hundreds of products from multiple distributors, but the information needed to make a good purchasing decision is scattered across portals, emails, order guides, texts, and spreadsheets. Comparing everything properly can take hours. When the restaurant gets busy--and it always gets busy--the comparing stops and the order just needs to get placed.
OrderNomics was built to fix that.
OrderNomics brings a restaurant’s distributor products and pricing into one place. Comparable products are organized side by side into Apples-to-Apples Item Groups, so chefs, owners, and managers can quickly see their options, review current and historical pricing, and make the call before the money is spent.
From there, teams can build orders for all their distributors on one order sheet and submit each purchase order through OrderNomics by email. They can set preferred products, flag items that should never be substituted, track price changes, review missed opportunities, and see where their purchasing decisions are saving money over time. Restaurant groups can manage all of this across multiple locations from one dashboard.
Underneath it all is the A2A Index—a growing index of foodservice products and the relationships between them. As more products are mapped, the Index becomes more complete and better at identifying true Apples-to-Apples matches. It is shared product intelligence, not shared purchasing intelligence. Every restaurant’s pricing, purchasing history, and distributor information remain private.
OrderNomics doesn’t replace distributor relationships, and it doesn’t tell operators what they should buy. It puts the information in front of them, keeps them in control, and gives every distributor a fair chance to compete for the order.
We love restaurants. We know how much work it takes to keep one running, and we believe order day has taken up enough time already. OrderNomics lines up the products, lines up the prices, and gives operators a better way to buy.
