Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

OttoFlow™ overview
What is OttoFlow™?
OttoFlow is a cloud-based, AI-native IP management platform built for law firms and corporate IP departments managing patent portfolios at volume. The platform operates on an event-driven architecture: incoming PTO correspondence, examiner actions, agent reports, and inbound email are matched to matters, processed through a versioned rule library, and converted into docket obligations. Coverage spans fifteen matter types and a 17-tab patent record, with every module drawing from the same underlying data set.
The docketing engine covers 1,853 procedures across 63 jurisdictional rule sets, with holiday calendars and three-tier client overrides. Every calculated date carries its source document, rule, and verifier, providing full provenance for each deadline. The prosecution console includes AI-enabled Notice of Allowance processing, shell creation, and error surveillance. The IDS Manager handles PTO-892, Form 1449, and SB/08 extraction, cross-family propagation, cross-cite pools, and SB/08 generation. USPTO data is accessed via Otto HUB and Patent Center, with additional coverage from Global Dossier, EPO OPS, WIPO, JPO, KIPO, and CNIPA, plus 300+ foreign associates via Honu. Workflow tooling includes role-scoped firm dockets, keyboard triage, bulk actions with undo, personal queues, digests, and a Work Delegation page for single-step reassignment. Reporting spans scheduled data reports, narrative client reports, a full merge-document library, portfolio analytics with AI categorization, and workload analytics.
OttoFlow is hosted on Amazon Web Services with region pinning and dedicated account boundary options for firms with corporate clients that require data residency controls. Tenant isolation is enforced at the database level, with MFA, SSO, and an append-only audit stream. Eleven AI features are each enabled per tenant, metered, and governed by rate limits and per-user spend controls, with an AI Usage page showing consumption by feature and user. Firms may connect their own AI model API keys; the platform is not locked to a single model vendor. A Swagger-documented Agent API, CloudEvents webhooks, and DMS push expose the full record to external systems and AI tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot via a built-in MCP controller. Licensed as software, every automated step is the product working rather than a billable service hour.
