Pensieve overview

What is Pensieve?

Pensieve is a cloud-based context layer that connects to a company's existing tools, including Notion, Slack, Google Drive, HubSpot, and GitHub, and automatically constructs a structured, continuously updated map of the business covering processes, decisions, customers, and people. Every claim in the map is cited. The map is delivered to compatible AI agents over MCP, so each agent session starts with an accurate, shared understanding of the business rather than re-reading source documents from scratch. No data preparation or engineering work is required to set up.

Designed for small and growing teams that rely on AI agents and productivity assistants such as Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and Codex, Pensieve integrates over MCP without replacing those tools' native tooling. Knowledge learned in one agent session is available to subsequent sessions and to other agents, eliminating context loss between handoffs. Pre-built agent roles, such as Head of Product, are available to reason from the context layer for tasks including triaging customer signals, reviewing roadmaps, evaluating build decisions, and critiquing specs.

Pensieve operates read-only by default and never writes back to connected tools. Each company receives a dedicated, isolated database with no data pooling across customers. Data is never used to train AI models. Sources and contexts can be disconnected and deleted at any time. SOC 2 Type II certification is in progress.
