What is RIPS ?
RIPS (Re-Inforce Programming Security) is a static code analysis tool that helps small to large businesses automatically manage the security of Java & PHP applications, detect threats/issues and take corrective actions to resolve them. The platform enables developers to track scores on configurations, security and quality, and implement steps to improve performance.
Features of RIPS include vulnerability scanning, issue filter & detailing, collaboration, analytics, compliance reporting, code summary, debugging, PCI assessment, patch management, and more. Users can scan their code repository by adding several issue categories to a web archive or uploading as a local file path to get real-time analysis results. The review panel allows users to review the root cause of threats and assign labels based on priorities, team action requirements and other measures.
RIPS facilitates integration with several third-party applications such as Jenkins, Bamboo, SonarQube, TeamCity, GitLab, Bitbucket, Drone, PhpStorm, Zend Server, Maven, RIPS CLI Tool, and more. The software can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud as a SaaS solution.
