SanctionsLookup screens individuals, businesses, vessels, aircraft, and cryptocurrency wallets against OFAC, EU, UN, UK, Australian, Canadian, and Swiss sanctions lists. All supported sanctions lists are included in every plan. SanctionsLookup checks the official sanctions sources for updates every 15 minutes, and the average API response time is ~200 ms.

SanctionsLookup uses proprietary fuzzy matching to identify name variations, spelling differences, and aliases, helping reduce false positives. Every screening result includes a match score and a human-readable explanation. Every SanctionsLookup API response includes the exact sanctions list version checked, providing screening evidence for compliance records and audits. Submitted names are not stored.

SanctionsLookup supports sanctions screening during customer onboarding and payment processing. Businesses can screen individual subjects or submit batches of up to 50 subjects per request. Custom reference IDs allow screening results to be mapped to internal customer, transaction, and case records.
