SMARTY is a voice-first AI copilot for Altair HyperMesh engineering workflows. The engineer identifies a task in HyperMesh, describes the desired outcome in natural language using engineering terms they already use, and SMARTY interprets the intent, maps it to appropriate HyperMesh functions or automation steps, and helps execute the workflow in the engineer's existing environment, drawing on HyperMesh's Python APIs, scripting interfaces, and supported automation mechanisms.

Typical work it addresses: geometry cleanup, part classification, material and property mapping, mesh-quality checking and exception reporting, and solver setup. Saved workflows can be re-run when inputs change, so teams can standardize processes, capture senior-engineer knowledge, and reduce dependence on a small number of scripting experts.

SMARTY runs open-source models rather than large frontier models, an architecture designed to keep customer workflows and model data private.

SMARTY assists qualified engineers and is not an autonomous engineering authority: engineers remain responsible for reviewing model changes, mesh quality, boundary conditions, solver settings, and results.
