SparklingTreat is a Windows desktop application (Windows 10 and 11) that runs from the system tray and delivers short, structured resets to desk workers after extended stretches at the computer. The application prompts users up to three times per workday, triggered after roughly 75 minutes of detected work time, and offers three reset formats: Guided Move (1.5 to 3.75 minutes of seated movement with calming music and scenery), Screen-Free (45 seconds to 2.5 minutes of spoken eye or breathing guidance requiring no screen watching), and Glance-and-Go (a 20-second single-cue prompt). Users retain full control at every prompt, with options to take the reset, choose a different format, snooze, or skip. Reminders can also be paused, and resets can be initiated manually from the tray at any time. Developed with a PhD physiologist, the resets require no equipment, exercise clothing, floor work, or additional space, and are designed to fit into real workday conditions without disruption.

The application uses limited timing and device signals, processed locally on the user's device, to estimate when a reset may fit into the workday. It avoids prompting when the computer is locked, asleep, in a presentation or fullscreen mode, or when supported focus settings are active. SparklingTreat does not collect keystrokes, screenshots, visited websites, document contents, messages, or application names, and prompt timing data remains on the user's computer. Targeting individual desk workers across general computer-based work environments, the application is currently available in a limited Windows beta at no cost during that period.
