WageForge overview

What is WageForge?

WageForge is InMarket's platform for lenders entering the wage advance market. It is not only a consumer app in itself, but an infrastructure a lender runs under their own brand, delivered through an app driven customer experience, so the whole journey, from onboarding to repayment, looks and feels like the lender's own app while InMarket handles the technology, compliance, and risk logic underneath.

At its core, WageForge gives employed customers access to wages they have already earned before their scheduled payday. That is a distinct product from a payday loan. Wage advance draws down on income already worked, while a payday loan is a separate form of credit repaid with fees or interest, and the two are regulated differently in Australia. WageForge is built around that definition, including the compliance obligations under the NCCP framework.

The customer flow runs through the branded app. A customer downloads the app and creates an account, provides the details needed for an automated eligibility assessment, and is shown their eligible advance amount upfront so they can choose how much to draw. Once approved, funds are disbursed and a tailored repayment schedule is generated automatically. From there the account moves through its repayment lifecycle until the balance clears, with automated handling if an account goes overdue.

In the back end of the app sits a full back office. ID checks and bank statement collection run through secure digital verification, cutting manual paperwork. Account management tools cover profile updates, loan tracking, payment history, and support in one place. Assessments are automated using real time financial data, so lenders can approve and disburse funds in minutes rather than days. Repayments can be made through flexible, instant payment options inside the app. Overdue accounts get clear resolution paths. Staff get real time monitoring for full oversight and support.

WageForge is secure and fully white labelled end to end, on desktop and mobile. There is no InMarket branding anywhere in the customer experience, including the app itself. Lenders get a system ready to launch now, not a build project, which matters in a market where the regulatory window is moving fast and the lenders who move first hold the advantage.

WageForge sits inside InMarket's wider platform story too. It runs on the same infrastructure as LoanForge, InMarket's consumer lending product for SACC and MACC loans, making InMarket the only platform in Australia currently offering wage advance, SACC, and MACC lending all in one place. A lender can launch WageForge alone, or add it alongside LoanForge without taking on a second vendor, a second compliance regime, or a second integration. One platform, one support relationship, one place to manage the full product range.

That combination has already paid off for early movers. One WageForge client identified the wage advance gap nine years ago, when no software existed to run it. InMarket was the only platform offering consumer and wage advance lending together, and the client has posted double and triple digit growth every year since, moving into the top three wage advance lenders in the country.

The benefits for a lender adopting WageForge are concrete: stronger customer loyalty and retention, security and compliance confidence in a tightly regulated space, room to scale without adding performance risk, reduced operational exposure through automated assessment, and a real edge over competitors still assessing wage advance manually or building from scratch.
