Webcopilot overview

What is Webcopilot?

Webcopilot is a cloud-based Chrome browser extension that allows knowledge workers, students, researchers, and support teams to upload documents in multiple formats, including PDFs, plain text files, web pages, and Notion docs, and query them using natural language from any webpage. Content is automatically chunked, embedded using semantic vector indexing, and made searchable by meaning rather than exact keywords. Answers are grounded in the uploaded documents and include citations with click-through links to the exact source document and page, eliminating the need to manually cross-reference materials.

The platform supports multiple separate knowledge bases, allowing users to organize documents by project, topic, or domain, keeping work, research, and personal collections distinct. A full REST API enables developers and full-stack teams to embed the knowledge base into custom or third-party applications without rebuilding the underlying infrastructure. Conversational follow-up questions are supported within a session, with context retained across exchanges for more precise, iterative querying.

Beyond document Q&A, Webcopilot extends AI assistance to adjacent workflows: email composition, social media post generation for Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook, Google Sheets task automation, and code generation for web development. These capabilities are accessible directly from the browser extension, reducing context-switching across tools. No complex setup is required to begin ingesting and querying documents, making the platform accessible to non-technical users while remaining extensible for developer use cases via the REST API.
