Pros

The customer service is very responsive, you can keep in touch by just leaving a message in the chat window. It is a very affordable solution for the creation of sophisticated reports with ease.
The tool has been very helpful in generating project reports, integrating data and allowing our operation team to gain greater insight into our client's needs.
It has been very helpful to get the response of our campaign that helps in boosting our business.

Pros

I love that the tool is so easy to use and it turns data into a manageable and easy to digest appearance. It manages to make data fun to look at, and it's really easy to work with.
I also like the fact that the company is always striving to improve their software as it shows dedication to the field. With every update I find that the new features help with my job quite a lot.
Linking existing databases works like a charm. It has a plethora of data visualization methods which is extremely professional and helpful for users to gain valuable insights.

Cons

Customer support is awful. The company is based in India and getting someone to respond is a trial, let alone having a chat.
Some of the settings are cumbersome. I have been having trouble with widgets, and getting Dashboards to update/sync with graphs when their source data is changed.
The features this product offers are somewhat limited, in terms of data manipulation and report variety.

Cons

I'll say that it was really frustrating to use in the beginning, it is complex and if you've never been in it before it is overwhelming.
Due to my lack of familiarity in how to code, I was uncomfortable at first and found it difficult to learn.
What is even more annoying is that it also takes several minutes to cancel a query. I really don't understand how it can take that long just to cancel a query.

Zoho: Advanced Analytics on a Budget

Reviewed 5 years ago

Zoho Analytics is a great product; non-profits often don't have large budgets for analytical tools.. so Zoho was able to provide premium insights at very respectable prices. Additionally, Zoho has a great support team that allows for timely resolution of issues and questions. Zoho is relatively new product, so features & updates are being released somewhat regularly.

Pros

Excellent Software: - Has many/most of the features tableau / DOMO have (charts, graphs, connectors, filters, app availability). - Very easy to teach non-analytical users how to use. - Extremely inexpensive (I think something like 15-25% of the cost of top-of-the line industry products).

Cons

There's some areas that could be a little more developed: - Drill down in charts could better - Communication / collaboration isn't available within the app - Additional options for dashboard layout / design (to make creative better looking analytics).

Zoho Analytics

The perfect alternative to Google Data Studio and Tableau

Reviewed 5 years ago

I used to use Google Data Studio for data visualization needs, but I'll now be using Zoho Analytics exclusively. Zoho Analytics dashboards are easier to set up, have better design, and look more white-labeled than Data Studio.

Pros

I only recently began using Zoho Analytics, but I'm already impressed. I've been using Zoho apps for a few years now via a Zoho One account, and Zoho Analytics is definitely one of Zoho's best applications. Zoho Analytics makes it easy to set up reports, integrations, dashboards and workspaces. It offers all the functionality of Google Data Studio, but it's far easier to use and the design templates are much nicer. While Zoho Analytics is not as in-depth as Tableau, it's a great alternative for those who want to effectively visualize data from a variety of sources without committing the time it takes to learn Tableau.

Cons

Customer service can sometimes take a few days to respond to inquiries, but when they do respond they offer detailed and thoughtful responses. If you have a Zoho One account, there can only be one Zoho Analytics admin user, which can make collaboration tricky.

Zoho Analytics

Easily the best choice if you're already using Zoho tools.

Reviewed 7 months ago

We're very happy with Zoho Analytics as our data & reporting tool. We're already using a Zoho environment so it was relatively easier to set up, and didn't cost a whole lot extra. We use it company-wide for stuff like quality reporting, stock reports, and monitoring sales activities. It works well 95% of the time, and when there are issues, these are usually pretty easy to fix. All in all, it's a great tool to have for anyone who relies on data

Pros

It easily has all the features of much bigger BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, but for a fraction of the cost. The embedded reports, in particular, are very helpful. We've used these to integrate data into our workspaces to have access to real-tme data without having to check manually.

Cons

We run into issues with data connections every now and then, where charts stop working because of a minor change with one of the sources, and we have to then fix it manually. It'd be good if there were auto-fixes for these as they're very straightforward issues most of the time.

Sales Reports Done Right

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Compared to Tableau, it seems to me that Zoho Reports is more sales oriented. ZR's interface is clean and maintains a great visual representation of the data it derives. It gets a perfect score from me when it comes to easiness of use, as navigating throughout the application and finding the features and tools I look for is always a smooth experience.

Cons

Like mentioned in the pros section, I feel like Zoho Reports lacks customization options for non sales related data. Would be a great addition if they were to add such features.

Better Than Tableau

Reviewed 6 years ago

If you're trying to find a BI Solution for a small company, this is what you want. In building our reports, we were able to pick up the phone and talk to a tech support person immediately to help us with SQL and other issues we had. The result was we were able to be up and running in just a few days. Compared to Tableau which wanted to charge us to build our reports and then required a per-user license fee - this software is super affordable and easy to get up and going with.

Pros

The software provides single page reports with a filtering capability across the top. This allow our clients the ability to use different filters and generate a custom report based on their individual needs without us having to build one for them.

Cons

The dashboard and data tables are not fully CSS compliant so they are not responsive in web pages. To get around this we set our page with to a static width, but that is not ideal for users on tablets and phones. Also, there is are no mapping options yet.

Fantastic Desktop Analytics Tool

Reviewed 5 years ago

I love using Tableau every day for my client analytics needs and recommend it highly to any organization serious about analytics.

Pros

I use Tableau every day. It is easy to learn with great tutorials and online resources. It is powerful to extend with lots of plugins. And it produces brilliant charts for clients.

Cons

Tableau is great for desktop use, but I'm not a big fan of Tableau's online integration. I've been using Google Data Studio for quick and dirty online collaborations.

Presenting Data for the more Visually Minded

Reviewed 5 years ago

I learned Tableau as a data analytics student, used it as a data professional and taught it as a data analytics teaching assistant, it's always my preferred choice as a data visualisation software.

Pros

I like focus on clean design as an output of data analysis. Other programs function similarly but it's the look of the visualisations that make Tableau stand out. When teaching others how to use this programme, they catch on quickly and are delighted by the output.

Cons

Being able to share and use your visualisations outside of the software is where the program is limiting. It's very contained to this programme, as most softwares like this are but it would be good to provide more ability to share the visualisations with a wider public.

Can't live without Tableau when it comes to BI

Reviewed 6 years ago

Meeting the demands for business analytics and solving problems with big data.

Pros

Has some unmatched features and functionality that I have not found with other competing software. Makes some really attractive/descriptive/intuitive dashboards.

Cons

Not very easy to use if you are just getting started with using BI tools. Some minor bugs in the software that I discovered, but nothing worth specifically mentioning.

Powerful Analytics Tool

Reviewed 5 years ago

Overall it's a powerful reporting and analytics tool that offers great versatility.

Pros

Lots of functionality is available. Data can be sliced and presented in powerful visuals. It's also easy to share reports with end users. SQL table linking is a fairly easy process.

Cons

Takes some expertise and experience to build reporting. This software would be difficult to use for entry level report developers.

My overall experience with Tableau is to make data tables for HR analytics.

Pros

What I like most about this software is its ability to collate and collect data into a format that can be massaged.

Cons

What I like least about this software is that it can be daunting to use if you have no experience with data analytics.
