Pros

The best part of google drive is that I can save my personal files, images, docs, videos and anything else which is very important for me and I can use these everywhere through this drive.
I like this software ! it helps me a lot when I have to send teaching videos with big size files. The integration systems in the software are amazing.
It's super reliable, easy enough to use (might need to be shown the first time), uncluttered and effective. Sharing permissions are great, making it clear who has access to what.

Pros

Quick synching and the ability to organise folders and sub-folders is great. Overall, a decent program and certainly useful for small businesses such as myself.
I like the ease of uploading documents and videos, good for storage of some items, usually anything important I move quickly, it has been useful for both work and personal needs.
I love that OneDrive is easy to use, and also makes it easy to store and share files. I also like the access control abilities to control who can access/use links and with which permissions/abilities.

Cons

There is some frustration for lack of support for older devices which sometimes are just used for storage themselves.
There isn't much I don't like about google drive. The offline work can be a little tricky at times and I have lost a few sentences due to this feature.
I am unsure of the encryption and how hard it would be for someone to hack in and obtain my files. As I am aware it is very hard but everything in the cloud these days has some risk.

Cons

OneDrive has changed in 2021 and this change has brought about headache for all. No syncing because the OneDrive is locked and awaiting action by users who has no idea as to what is wrong.
The most problem I have as a user is the sync problem, sometimes it gets stuck and you have to restart your computer.
Where do I begin, it constant instability, it is very hard to use use, sharing process and access permission are coming from hell and the version control is simply sadistic.

Very Helpful

I love it! It's extremely handy transporting my files as long as my data is not shared with any other services.

Pros

I love this cloud storage service because I can easy back up a whole lot of stuff and still access it anywhere I log in to.

Cons

Could be a whole lot better if it would be able to connect and access files with OneDrive and also access files from OneDrive through Drive.

Google Drive>>> My Go-To Drive!

Reviewed 10 months ago

I love this software! It makes my personal life and business life simpler and saves me time. What more could I ask for?

Pros

Google Drive is perfectly integrated with my smart devices, notebook, email client (Gmail) and Google Calendar. What's more, I love that all of my photos and videos are automatically uploaded and stored on Google servers for free. In addition, my business documents are automatically backed up onto the Google Drive every single day. So for both personal and business use I cannot find a better service...

Cons

The monthly/yearly plan for Google Drive is a little bit more expensive than Microsoft OneDrive. However, if I needed the extra space, I would choose Google Drive over Microsoft OneDrive.

Easy to use Small Business Cloud Storage and Collaborative Productivity software

Reviewed 3 years ago

All my employees have enjoyed our switch from OneDrive to Google Drive for cloud storage and collaboration on Office documents. They run into less crashes and real-time saving issues than they did with OneDrive.

Pros

For a free service that provides nearly the entire microsoft office suite of programs, and is still compatible across platforms when downloading copies of files made through Google Drive, it's the best value cloud storage and collaborative outlet you can find. Uploading files from our Android devices to this cloud of super fast and easy as well.

Cons

If they could provide even more free storage space it would be a nice bonus, but they still provide a fair amount. Their Google Sheets software doesn't quite have as many of the capabilities of Microsoft's Excel but does manage to get the job done.

Excellent. I tried OneDrive for a little while, but Googles product is just easier to use.

Pros

Ease of use and compatibility across all major platforms - Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, etc... Works in any browser and just makes storing data easy. Prices are also very good with the lowest being $1.99 per month for 100gb.

Cons

Searching is sometimes hit or miss - especially when you are trying to search within a folder and it gives you results from elsewhere.

Google drive enables cloud based file sharing very easily.

Reviewed a year ago

We are solving our need to share large files outside of the organization with Drive. We also are able to use it for remote work without a VPN to some extent.

Pros

I like the integration with all of the existing Google services. Space is affordable and easy to increase. Also, sharing of files is painless.

Cons

The sync software is a bit cumbersome, although it is better than the OneDrive offering in that regard.

I have used OneDrive before switching to Google Drive. Google Drive gives more options on choosing the right plan and it is affordable.

Pros

I am using this tool for more than 3 years. I use this to store my files and documents and I can able to access them on the go using my mobile as well. It allows integration to third-party applications which I have used to integration my company application with Google Drive also.

Cons

Nothing to complain much about Google Drive, however they could improve their web UI to make it more user-friendly. Right now I feed the UI more clumsy.

Lifesaver

Reviewed a year ago

Overall experience: I love it. I love the layout, the user-friendliness, the storage and everything.

Pros

You can call me a google fanatic but I absolutely LOVE Google Drive. Personally, I used to use OneDrive more but the way OneDrive is designed or the lay-out, never fully loved it. I started using Google Drive professionally through my accounting job and I fell in love. Everything is easy to understand, it's flexible and it syncs well. I convinced the owner of the company that I currently work for to switch over to Google Drive and I love it!

Cons

Honestly, I don't have anything that I don't like about this software! If anyone asks "Onedrive or Google Drive" I will convert them!

Google's awesome service to store your files on Cloud

Reviewed 7 months ago

I use google drive to store non document files such as some personal images. I use onedrive for document stuff due to access to Office but google drive is solid alternative to onedrive. They go toe to toe on consistency of their services. So far I have not had issues with google drive. It is secure and available on all devices.

Pros

- It is tightly integrated with Gsuite enterprise application such as Google docs and Google meet. - It is easy to use and UI is pleasing to eyes. - It is secure and accessible on any platform from smartphones to laptops. - Support for extensions/plugins which can allow for extra functionality - You can store your files without worrying of losing them as long as you don't forget your credentials. - Open some of the files directly in browser , especially office files and some plugins allow you to open even more files - Share large files with others as attachment in gmail.

Cons

- Lack of proper version control for files which I mentioned in onedrive's review as well. I would have liked a way to see older versions of same file if I updated one . - Though I use free tier , the pricing for storage expansion can be expensive for some

Unmatched collaboration, sharing, backup

Reviewed 2 years ago

I'd used Google Drive for minor projects up until about four years ago. A newspaper I worked with utilized Drive--and its integration with Docs/Sheets/etc.--for both teamwide storage, access management and collaboration. The process would go something like this--reporters would work remotely, and move their completed documents into the "shared" folder for that week's edition. An editor would message (via Google, typically) and the reporter and editor would work on the document in real time, simultaneously, from separate computers. Since then, I've used it for almost everything "document" related.

Pros

Synchronization of files between multiple PCs is more reliable than other options.

Cons

Limited space without paying, pay option is high for the industry (e.g. you receive 1TB of OneDrive storage with a ~$12/month Office365 subscription).

Very Easy to use and setup

Reviewed 2 years ago

the storage is a little small for what we pay for versus other programs like dropbox or onedrive. wish there was more storage for lower prices per year.

Pros

its so very simple to add users and share folders to each user and define editor or administrator to each person so that they can either see or use files or set them to administrator so that they can edit the files and have full access to them. Super easy to create folders and drag and drop files into that folder, i truly love the backup side of Google Drive. I have setup to where anything on my desktop...

Cons

i also use Dropbox and truly wish that google drive would have a install-able program that will automatically sync all computers that i have installed the app to and logged into my account like i can with Dropbox.

Google Drive Review

Reviewed 3 years ago

Google Drive is a fantastic service for personal and professional projects. Some security concerns with user-directed information distribution would make this product inappropriate for some industries. However, this is overall a must-use/must-know central piece of productivity software for any general office manager or coordinator!

Pros

The best features of Google Drive are it's integration with other Google Services. What easily separates Google Drive from competing services like Dropbox and OneDrive are its immediate integration with on-line productivity tools and its ease-of-use for multiple user coordination. While other services such as OneDrive and Dropbox do make sharing easy, Google Drive stands out with its highly integrated productivity suite. OneDrive does have integration with Office Online tools, but the Microsoft online productivity suite lags behind Google in terms or ease-of-access and general use (Google has a several year head-start on Microsoft in the field of online productivity tools.)

Cons

There really aren't many cons about Google Drive, only minor thoughts that might be more personal to myself as a user or scale-specific security concerns that only apply to specific industries or projects. One such minor thing is I find folder navigation slightly cumbersome as compared to off-line file navigation programs on both Windows, Android, and Mac/iOS platforms I've used. However, this has also been my experience in OneDrive. This, then, indicates the problem may be more with myself as a user than the product. ;) Other issues regarding security for file sharing really only apply to regulated industries such as healthcare, financial, or social services industries that all have specific regulatory requirements and dedicated services for sharing files and information.

We all need cloud space

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, I've had good service from Microsoft regarding OneDrive. I've had an account block for like one day in my time using the software, but everything works really well. My data has been floating for quite some time (Like a cloud).

Pros

OneDrive has become my go to online storage tool. Very easy to use. Works across all my devices, and I couldn't ask for a better cloud storage agent.

Cons

Using it as a collaborative tool is possibly not as simple as it could be. Has limits to its home variant, but I would love to believe OneDrive for Business has more options. Lastly, to share usage (Everyone with the folder link) the person would still need a Microsoft account, which is a negative and a positive.

Best Cloud Storage there Is !

Reviewed 2 years ago

Google drives is always the simple, best go-to cloud storage service that I have used. I worked with multiple teams and executing the entire project just using Google drive as a repository and database for all files.

Pros

*Very Elegant UI, simple to use *Gives users the control in executing a task with minimal clicks. *Easily scalable. *Integration with Google Ecosystem and other products. *Great application for Apple and Android. *Ability to build documents and collaborate with team in real time.

Cons

*Because it lives in within Google Ecosystem, privacy can be a threat. Yes it's secure from the outside world but not from Google. I never keep sensitive documents in Google Drive. *It misses few features that OneDrive offers to its users like "self-expiry" shared links. *Bit pricey compared to OneDrive. *Google is know for Memory hoggs, if you worry about how much memory Google uses, then this is add to the problem.

The best in cloud storage!

Google Drive

The ultimate benchmark for Cloud storage

Reviewed 2 years ago

Drive is an extremely easy to use and intuitive software and does have the potential of substituting Microsoft's Onedrive and its Office suite. The ease with which we could collaborate on documents was phenomenal.

Pros

Google Drive has let me work with so much flexibility only very few services has. Be it sharing of photographs or just uploading them in the cloud for their safe keep or working with Google's Office Suite, Drive has been a lifesaver. What is more awesome is that you get 15 Gb of free storage with your Google account. That truly helps someone with a limited budget to understand the true power and potential of the service. Whats more interesting is that Google lets you keep its own office suite's files for free, which means they wont be counted in the 15 Gb space they give out for free. Having to collaborate with someone via Drive is extremely convenient and that perhaps is its biggest strength.

Cons

A huge drawback to drive is that it has no official client for the Linux operating system. This means no auto syncing and you have to manually upload and download files every time you want to make a change to any of the files. The interface tries its best to replicate a File Manager but fails in one core aspect that it does not allow opening of multiple folders side by side like most File Managers do.

Excellent Collaboration Tool

Reviewed 2 years ago

Compared to similar cloud based softwares I have used such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive seemed equivalent. Google Drive has the upper hand cost wise because it offers such a large amount of free storage.

Pros

Google Drive has one of the largest free storage drives (15GB) and if you need more than that it is still very affordable. The great thing about google drive is that you can edit and create new documents from it. It is great for personal use or to use with your team to collaborate. For collaboration, google makes it extremely accessible and easy to do so.

The easiest drive

Reviewed 3 years ago

I need images, find images and create images constantly. Often times I am away from my computer or I need an image on-the-go. Google Drive makes this incredibly simple. I have it set up on my phone and all the computers I work from. Never is an image (or file) that I need out of reach.

Pros

I use several online drives for a variety of purposes. I needed a drive that could easily upload and download (images specifically) across multiple platforms. The drag and drop functionality makes this product a favorite. On the home-screen, thumbnails allow me to see my image before opening. This saves time from having to look up a file name on each download.

Cons

The only con, I can come up with is maybe an automatic sync function similar to onedrive or dropbox. However the upload process is so incredibly easy that such a function is not sorely missed.

Google drive offers the most secured and free data storage with convenient data sharing.

Reviewed 3 years ago

I have been using this drive since my college time and have really benefited from it. It's the most reliable platform to save my work and important files whether related to work or personal life. To be honest, its the most easy to use drive where I can save my date for real long period of time. It have really optimized my way of working.

Pros

This drive can be access with the Gmail account and could easily associated with the account to import data and important documents. Most of the storage is free to use and additional space could be bought at minimal prices. We have been implementing this tool in our workplace for easy sharing of files and data. All the work could easily be stored and retrieved wherever its required. This drive has innovated the way we work and systemize our workings. Google Drive has played an important role to maximize the productivity of our organization.

Cons

Drive by Google consists of most of the ready to use features. Sharing the files from this platform to other drive(i-e OneDrive or DropBox ) requires special addresses that hinders our productive role with the clients and employees.

My main use here is to keep sensitive files stored locally and in the cloud so there is no need to use and maintain an over the top backup solution. It makes me confident that data is safe and easy to get at when changing or upgrading devices.

Pros

I'm fully integrated with the Google eco system and I like that my files are accessible from every device without having to login all the time. Third party integrations make it easier to upload and share files directly from shared folders and creating sharing links is easy as well.

Cons

Google could do a better job of integrating right click features in Windows such as Onedrive has done. Also there should be integration with Hangouts as there is no drive access from there and documents aren't easily shareable due to file formats already.

Good alternative to google drive for those who prefer MS office tools

Reviewed 8 days ago

Helpful to have MS office compatible tools with cloud access. More than enough features for basic use, and eliminates need to buy a MS office license (for basic users)

Pros

Good alternative to google drive for those who prefer MS office tools, cloud based use of MS office tools, very competitive with google drive

Cons

Less intuitive to use than google drive, less people know and use onedrive compared to google drive so less convenient for document sharing and collaboration with others.

Decent software, getting better

Reviewed 3 years ago

My company recently purchased a massive plan with OneDrive, and I use it daily to back up my files, which is the most important aspect for me. Being able to work on my files from more than one computer is really important to me.

Pros

This software is basically a clone of Google Drive, and allows storage for many files, and collaboration with apps that allows you to edit those files (word documents, spreadsheets, etc.). What I like most though is the compatibility with my Windows operating system. It fits in really nice with my file explorer so that I can seamlessly back up my files at work, then continue working on the m at home.

Cons

This suite of software is not as well developed as the Google Drive suite, and does not integrate as well with other products as the Google Drive suite.

One drive and Google drive best cloud options available

Reviewed a year ago

Makes life simple. All my mobile and laptop data is backed up to the drive automatically. Saves me the trouble while data loss

Pros

It gives 1TB free storage. Easily accessible from PC, laptop and even from mobile phone. Best for Windows users as all their files in Microsoft will be read by drive.

Cons

Just that Google drive became very popular very soon and many people prefer that over one drive. But it is nothing less than the Google drive in terms of the features.

One Drive by Microsoft

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have bounced back and forth between One Drive and Google Drive over the past few years. Recently my company has started suppressing access to One drive via policy, so I am starting to rely on Google Drive more.

Pros

I like the integration with Windows 10, it makes it easy once you have logged in, to retrieve and save your documents to the storage in the cloud.

Cons

Really nothing, it is great to have access to your documents anywhere you have internet access. I think it would great to get more free storage.

A MUST HAVE APP FOR AN EDUCATOR

Reviewed 2 years ago

Google drive saves my computer and email a lot of space for my files

Pros

This is my go-to application whenever I needed extra space for my email, for my pdfs, ebooks and important documents and files that are needed to be saved. I also use this app to share to my coteachers some of my files especially letters and worksheets. This app is also my co researchers life saver whenever we need to revise our papers without the need of meeting each other. I also commend the chat and comment feature of the app that help us communicate the errors in our papers that needed to be checked and revised

Cons

I just hope that Google drive can still expand their maximum space of 25 gigabytes cause I bet I might be exceeding to their maximum size since teachers love to save online files for future references

One drive for them all

Reviewed 3 years ago

OneDrive helps me and my team get things done quicker and in a reliable fashion.

Pros

OneDrive is simply easy to use for business. Any notes or documents that need to be saved in the cloud can be done with any software. But when you have Microsoft Word, Excel, or Powerpoint t to work with, you would also want a cloud drive that goes along with and is in the same environment, the Microsoft Environment. I've worked in companies where Microsoft is the go-to software provider for anything analytical. OneDrive helps us share all that analysis. That is why it is great for businesses and for everyone.

Cons

I think the functionality is not as seamless as Google Drive. There are definitely sharing features that are not at the same tier as Google Drive but the upload, download, formatting, and syncing features are great because of the Microsoft environment.

OneDrive

A strong competitor to Google Drive & DropBox, but not quite the best.

Reviewed 2 years ago

OneDrive has proven itself as a useful tool for working and sharing documents and files across a large regional organization.

Pros

OneDrive has synchronized and neatly packaged our organization's ability to share, store and access files across several departments, as well with external partners. Being packaged together with the rest of the Office 365 Suite this storage solution works seamlessly with other software we use like Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Cons

The user interface and overall graphical design isn't as aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate in comparison to Google Drive. Having made the switch from Google Drive I find that it seems a little clunky and in need of a design face lift.

I Wish Google Drive was OneDrive

Reviewed 2 years ago

I am certainly solving the work from office (on a desktop) to work from home (on a laptop) file availability issue.

Pros

I use OneDrive for personal and business. I also use Google Drive for business and personal. What I find myself doing, however, is using OneDirve for the things I need to access quickly and Google Drive for simply storing files "on the extra" to utilize the storage space. If you use Microsoft Office, OneDrive is the best for both PC and Mac users. The ease of the cloud version is one of the features...

Cons

It's a paid experience, which is probably why Google Drive suffers in many one-to-one comparisons. However, if you're going to be an Office 365 account holder, there's no reason not to utilize OneDrive's exceptional user interface and capability over Google Drive.

Microsoft OneDrive: easily integrated cloud storage for Windows

Reviewed 2 years ago

One of the best cloud storage for business, far more than Box.com or Google Drive both for features than for integration with the cloud Office.com suite.

Pros

OneDrive has a neat and nice user experience, far better than Google Drive. Some feature are even better, like file sharing where you can set a due date for the link to become useless. Integration with Windows is superb, far more than Google Drive and it is industry standard since it uses WebDAV (Google Drive on the contrary uses a proprietary protocol).

Cons

Storage prices is a bit more expensive than Google Drive but the feature are far more extensive with a more business friendly user interface.
