There isn't much I don't like about google drive. The offline work can be a little tricky at times and I have lost a few sentences due to this feature.

Filestream integrates perfectly with Windows Explorer. I LOVE that I can access files on my computer that are on the shared drive in the same way I would access a file in MyDocuments.

Overall I am pleased with drive. It is user friendly and being someone who is not tech savvy it is nice to be able to use without having to contact support.

Google Drive vs WeTransfer: Why I switched from WeTransfer to Google Drive

Deb P:                                                 Hi, I'm Deb. I'm a coach and I used to use WeTransfer, but now I use Google Drive. For more similar reviews, click below.
			                                                       For my work, I often need to share large files with my clients and colleagues, and usually these files are too big to send via email, so I turned to WeTransfer and now Google Drive to solve that problem.
			                                                       Google Drive is great because not only can I share large files, but it's also a place to store the files so that I know what I have, I know who I'm sharing it with, and I can organize it within a file structure that makes sense for my business.
			                                                       WeTransfer is great because it's free. You don't need an account. You can just send one-off files. And that's really what I used to use it for. And within a week, they disappear and you don't have to worry about deleting it. So it really is helpful for those one off situations where you just need to get a big file to someone else. You don't necessarily want to also store and keep track of what you shared with whom.
			                                                       Both WeTransfer and Google Drive are really easy to use. WeTransfer is probably the easiest because you don't need an account or a credit card. You don't need anything. You just upload your files, put in the email addresses of who you want to share it with, and then it disappears. You don't even have to remember to delete it. You don't have to worry that it's saved somewhere, it's going into some repository of global information out there.
			                                                       Google Drive is also really easy if it's just for yourself. You just need a Gmail account and you automatically have Drive, but you do have to learn how to use the share function on the folder and how to share a folder versus sharing a file. And if you use G-Suite for your business, like I do, then you also do the administrating for your account. And of course you're paying for it, you're paying for storage, you have to make sure you don't run out of storage and things like that. So it's a little more complicated than WeTransfer, but of course you get a lot more because it does a lot more.
			                                                       The top consideration when you're looking for this kind of software is really, is this a one-off thing that you don't need to go back and keep track of? If that's the case, WeTransfer is probably perfect. But if this is something that you're doing as a routine, as part of your business, and you want to keep track of where your files are stored, who you're sharing them with, then Google Drive makes a lot more sense for that. And that's why I use Google Drive today for my large file sharing needs, rather than WeTransfer.

                                                       Google Drive is much better for larger files and since most of the people already know how to operate it, so it is way better. WeTransfer is much quicker and much more seamless when it comes to uploading files, but not many people know about it, so it has a steep learning curve.
                                                       It was fairly easy to get started with Google Drive because most people already have a Google account. However, WeTransfer is not that easy and there are much more features that make it much more usable. But then again, you need to spend some time tinkering around the settings a little bit.
                                                       So the top consideration is that how easy is it to collaborate and send files to your batchmates or colleagues or anyone else and the second one is the speed with which you can upload or download the file, so how fast a server can accept or let you download a file.

                                                       We use Google Drive for pretty much all communication files to share with our team. And then we use WeTransfer specifically to send larger files, videos, and photos throughout our team and organization.
                                                       We found WeTransfer to be best at sending large files, those videos, those larger PDFs, because it doesn't change the format, it doesn't condense like Google Drive might. And so we use WeTransfer really specifically for those larger files to send.
                                                       I would say the strengths of Google Drive are absolutely collaboration amongst the team to be able to work with your team from all over and to be able to share documents, to work together in collaboration live time, and to share documents as much as you need, and just to be able to have one place where you can have a database of all of your files, all of the Excel spreadsheets, and there's so many different aspects of Google Drive that you can use as a team to collaborate together, no matter where your team is.
                                                       Google Drive is probably a little bit more of a learning curve than WeTransfer. WeTransfer is pretty direct of you just go on, you upload your file, you type in the email and you send it, and it's great. And it sends instructions to the people that you're sending it to. Google Drive, there's more features to it, so it does take a little bit more of a learning curve. But all in all, Google Drive is pretty easy to navigate. And they have a lot of tutorials you can use so if anybody on your team needs a little bit extra help, it's really easy to learn. And so it's pretty easy to get started.
                                                       I definitely consider how accessible it is. Can I use it for my computer, my iPad, my phone? How easy are these softwares to use? How easy is that learning curve? Is my team going to be able to jump on it quickly? Are they going to be able to figure it out, to be able to continue to do the work that we're doing? And so really that accessibility and that just ease of use for the whole team as a whole is what we absolutely look for.
