Pros

The fact it's free is amazing. It's a great choice for personal or small business or non-profits.
I love this it's free, easy to use, comparable to Excel, and accessible on multiple devices. I use it mainly for my budget, which has not only helped me save a lot of money but plan for the future.
I like it because It's % 100 Free app from google and it's very easy to use with a clean and useful user interface. I like how I can create many sheets in one project and use other sheets format.

Pros

Easy to navigate and preforms awesome for what I need it for. A nice look to showing my data.
Very fast product- I would say for the most part it is easy to use- Stable product and options for exporting are solid- I would call this a powerful program and being that it is free very affordable.
The templates that have this app are great and help me to do some dynamic spreadsheets I can share with my team in some meetings.

Cons

When downloading to a Word document on your laptop, there is often formatting error and glitches which can be annoying.
Google Sheets suffers from severe slowdowns when working with a few hundred rows of data. Don’t even bother if there are complex equations within those rows.
It can be frustrating when there's no information online about troubleshooting some formula errors.

Cons

This isn't always a straight-forward process and often, there is some data loss or some cleaning up to do after the import.
The only con I can think of is that if you are used to Microsoft, Numbers will be very confusing at first.
Numbers does not have too many editing options once you upload your document. It is a little weird to navigate the folders in the app too.

Excellent!

Happy with it, would choose it over Apple Numbers anyday.

Pros

The ease of creating spreadsheets and the flexibility of sharing them without necessarily having to use a particular app installed makes this brilliant. Just open it from the browser and that's it.

Cons

When the spreadsheet is downloaded and tried to use in excel, the data tends to have a different format. There is no customer support or supporting pages that help in assisting this.

Sheets is a great alternative to other spreadsheet software that is completely free!

Reviewed 6 years ago

A free and easy to to manage numbers, data, and budgets.

Pros

The best thing about Sheets is that it is free, plain and simple. There is no cost to use the software or to teach yourself more advanced features by experimenting. This is a critical features because it doesn't place a limit on who can learn and enjoy this software. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and you're good to go. Aside from that, the software itself is very good. It allows a great range of data manipulation that will be more than enough for most people.

Cons

Sheets struggles in some areas, especially when compared to it's main competition, Excel. Simply put, Excel is just beefier than Sheets. There are more things you can do, more documentation on how to do them, and more people that are experienced enough to be able to help you learn.

Pros

If you are used to excel you can basically convert the same knowledge to google sheets. The formulas are pretty much the same and you can receive spreadsheets online specially if you are working with different business units in different locations.

Cons

When it comes to complicated analysis sometimes I go back to excel but it is very rare because google sheets has it all.

Not meant for serous spreadsheet power users.

Reviewed 6 years ago

If you are a Mac ecosystem, whether home or business, this is a good alternative that comes free with the Mac IF you don't need heavy spreadsheet use. However, if you run a business, or work in any department that runs spreadsheets a lot and/or need heavy computations and functionality, look elsewhere. In addition, if you want a better free option with much better support, cloud support, and converts...

Pros

Free with a Mac, comes preloaded. Easy to use.

Cons

Half the functions of Excel (literally by the numbers). Worse than Google Sheets (via Google Docs). Issues with cross-platform functionality, unlike Google Sheets. Not for power users. Google Sheets works better and has multi-platform and OS support. Most programs, such as payroll software, ATS, HRIS, etc. export reports in Excel formatting.

Numbers

Not great when compared to the usual standards in the industry

Reviewed 6 years ago

Use it when I have to, but not a go to by any means.

Pros

Comes with my Mac so I don't have to download anything new to use.

Cons

Not as intuitive or easy to use as something like Google Sheets.

Numbers

Don't waste your time!

Reviewed 6 years ago

Don't waste your time on Numbers, just create a Google account and use Google Sheets or Excel.

Pros

If I absolutely need to see to see an excel sheet in a rush, I will let numbers open and I will use it.

Cons

Not easy to use or format. Doesn't have nearly as nice features as Excel.
