Excellent and Office

2017-05-17

Office, Email Collaboration, OneDrive and SharePoint access

Pros

Easy to install and manage Office accounts, Excellent customer support via email, phone, or Skype. Install Office on 5 computers AND 5 tablets

Cons

Mac and PC versions are not similar, and sometimes have compatibility issues. Downloading both versions to the same computer (using a VM Solution) can cause Licensing Issues.

A great collection of tools that falls short for business

2016-06-22

Productivity apps like the Microsoft Office suite, Sharepoint, Delve, Sway, Email, Active Directory sync, etc. are what's included.

Pros

Full of features that can meet just about anyone's needs at a fair price.

Cons

Sharepoint is still awful.

Teams is a nice collaboration tool

2018-10-17

We use Teams instead of Sharepoint, much easier.

Pros

We used to use Sharepoint, but found Teams is much easier to use and more intuitive and user friendly.

Cons

Sometimes the notification is annoying. Hope there is a easier way to manage notification, like that in iOS 12.

Office 365 Can Be Confusing

2018-08-06

I use Office 365 in pretty much the same way I used the last version of Office, so I don't notice a huge difference.

Pros

Most business use some version of Microsoft Office so there are no compatibility issues.

Cons

There are inconsistencies when using Office 365 with SharePoint. My team at work uses SharePoint all day every day.

Microsoft Teams - Collaborative notes, files and chat

2018-04-17

Chat, meetings, files collaboration, integration with SharePoint and OneDrive.

Pros

Microsoft Teams allows users to collaborate on notes, chat easily and share files. It is included with the Microsoft Office 365 suite making it easy to setup and deploy. Files can easily be shared with anyone anywhere, especially as there is an app on iPhone and Android. Your chat history is available in Outlook making it easy to review, and it also integrates with Skype for video and voice calls via that app. It is very easy to use with almost no learning curve. The ease of collaboration with other users via Teams makes it an excellent and useful tool.

Cons

We have found no issue with Teams at all, but you need to check where it's at with regard to what data is automatically backed up.

A business enabler suite

2018-09-19

From day one, our company used Office 365 and we find it irreplaceable. As times goes by, we are also migrating from third party tools we pay to the ones which are already present in our Office 365 subscription.

Pros

It provides apps online and also on a computer, covers most needed aspect of any business, communication and collaboration (Outlook, Skype for Business, Teams, Planner), tools for documentation, presentation and reporting (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), online storage (SharePoint and OneDrive).

Cons

Occasional issue with the sinking of documents between OneDrive/SharePoint and your local copy.

not your father's Office

2018-09-25

Pros

You get everything you have always been used to, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, plus every current hosted office app you would ever want in a single product. No need to bolt on Dropbox or Slack or anything else, those features are all built in. Teams is an amazing product that was rapidly adopted in our organization. Customer support was very responsive the few times we could not solve the issue using Microsoft's resources or an internet search.

Cons

You can get bogged down in Sharepoint if you look at it from a legacy on premise perspective.

Office365 Has Lots of Benefits

2019-03-01

I have solved all kinds of document storage components on our team by centralizing content using SharePoint and OneDrive.

Pros

I believe that SharePoint is nicely integrated with OneDrive so that you can build a strong internal place to store all documents that a team or department uses.

Cons

I believe that the Excel, Word and PPT Online versions are subpar to their offline counterparts, and even subpar compared to Google's equivalents of Docs, Sheets and Slides. The fluidity is lacking and the styling options change from Online to Offline dramatically. You don't feel like you're working on the same content because of that disparity.

Sharepoint can be configured in plenty of ways to suit the site layout of your choosing. It has proven a useful tool for both technical and functional resources.

Pros

Very robust management system with a steep and technical learning curve

2017-12-28

Love that the price is included in Office 365, and hope new changes are coming.

Pros

SharePoint is a great way to share files, folders, links, and other items with coworkers in a closed system along with permission levels. It allows easy organization of things we're working on with the ability to separate certain projects and have a centralized location for accessibility.

Cons

There aren't as many 'cons' as there are very specific quirks. The major con for SharePoint is the ease of updating and creating pages. This is by far the worst way possible to make changes and I hope it's fixed with newer iterations. There are many minor quirks - as in, I can't email an entire group at once easily. I also do not like that you can't upload a whole folder with files within them (similar to OneDrive issues).

Great tool to manage document sharing

2019-02-22

I have utilized this software for the Board and committees I manage to share with colleagues and fellow Board members and to easily manage documents.

Pros

SharePoint allows you to easily create team or communication sites to collaborate with organization and document management. A communication site allows you to create and share content to a large group of users and options are customizable. Sites are convenient, flexible, easy to manage and you are able to create a document folder, notebooks, designs. Libraries are easily synchronized with mobile or your computer. Easily drag and drop new files to the library and keeps files in sync. You are able to customize documents view to only show some data and easily sort and search for specific fields.

Cons

There’s no free version however SharePoint comes with Office 365. There’s a little bit of a learning curve with the software.

Pros

Ability to easily share files with others and protects the integrity of your data, while keeping it safe from unauthorized access.

Cons

SharePoint is the best business productivity tool from MS since Word, PPT, and Excel days

2018-02-09

Very good integration with other Office products through Office 365 cloud solution.

Pros

Easy solution to create collaborative solutions like Lists and Document Libraries Besides Skype which they bought, SharePoint is great for storing and managing documents that need to be shared and collaboratively worked on. Creating a site and list to manage data and share content are easy too.

Cons

Although it is better than before I think there could be more features that don't require you to use SharePoint designer. There are a lot of features not available to the casual user which limits its value. I think the latest UI is better, but there are still issues like being unable to customize spacing and column widths for some lists.

Pros

Still good if you have a company intranet but there are better choices for collaboration tools now

2018-07-09

Pros

Integration with Office 365 has been a huge improvement and OneDrive synchronization has been a tremendous asset.

Cons

As with any Microsoft product, you really need to have it exist in a company with full ecosystem to take full advantage of all that SharePoint offers.

SharePoint is very solid for revising documents in terms of document control.

2018-07-30

Pros

I like being able to rollback to previous versions of documents. It's good for managing a large number of documents to maintain compliance particularly for ISO.

Cons

You have to do Office 365 in order to get the collaboration tools.

Useful resource to share information at group level

2018-06-18

everything inone place within 365

Pros

Fits seamlessly within office 365 and its suite of apps

Cons

search could be a little more intuitive and sometimes a manual search has been required. Search could be made better by also having documents you contributed too most recently appear at the top.

Useful addition, but saving features an issue

2018-03-09

Please sort save function - otherwise useful product

Pros

Consolidates other software we were using Ease of remote login Like using as part of Office 365 - helpful to have work streamliend

Cons

The saving function is extremely frustrating, we are not able to save documents without coordination as we would lose the work UX/Design could be improved

Very reasonable value as part of our Office 365 subscription

2018-06-12

Pros

The biggest pros for our company with Sharepoint is the mobile integration with our phones/tablets and the powerful document sharing and collaboration feature sets.

Cons

While it's hosted on the Office 365 cloud, it still requires a solid IT background to set everything up and configure it to both your individual needs as well as that of your coworkers.

SharePoint is hard to use out of the box

2018-05-04

Pros

There is also a free version included with your Office 365 subscription.

Cons

SharePoint is very difficult to customize and setup. Most companies will need outside consultants or experts to set it up before they can use it.
