Not great. I would rather use slack or discord to communicate
Teams is an application that is trying to be something it isn't. There is not much to like about this software.
It is very hard to keep up with conversations people are having privately because the organization is off

It enables you to learn things from home.
It is not as user friendly as zoom or discord.

I dont wanna use it anymore, i prefer Zoom, Meet or Discord
You can be online any time with the App for phones
The loggin its very slow and tedious, you need to confirm your email, loggin in the app, loggin in the browser, change your password, all these almost weekly The quality of the session its not good, the camera software, in my case makes me see very dark and sometimes the chat doesn't work, you write and write but the message never sends

Gets the job done. It is a free piece of software for small businesses so it is an effective solution
Teams gives you the ability to manage and interact with your organization in a fast and effective manner.
Lots of features can still be added. Look to software such as Discord for example.

We like Teams for both chat and video calls, which has been great for remote work
This is much better than other chat platforms, and it's included in the Microsoft suite of products, so if you need a platform that's not too robust, Teams works
It's not quite as good as a true dedicated chat platform (things like Slack and Discord are much better options)

Teams is an okay tool and works well in a business environment, but they could take some serious notes from other software, such as Discord.
Teams is a great way to connect staff and schedule meetings.
Teams needs to overhaul the settings for notifications. Banner/feed settings are too binary and should offer far more customization as to how and where notifications will appear and even more important: how reliably they work. I can get a message in Teams and it will make no noise. This is a critical issue. Also, the screen sharing control is a nice tool, but its implementation is very laggy/slow/buggy.

Overall, I love using Microsoft teams as the new method of communication between me and my co-workers. The biggest reason why I continue to use this program is because of the calendar application. It's free and easy to use.
Loved using Microsoft teams over alternatives such as slack and discord. Being able to set up calendar meetings made it super easy to communicate with co-workers
One con is that there is no way to disable the "away" feature. Every 5 minutes you will be toggled as away if you do not move your mouse. In addition, audio sometimes gets dropped from video calls but this is very rare.

Overall, Teams is a great alternative for certain things when it comes to remote work, but honestly, I would much rather have to use something like Discord, as opposed to Teams.
I really liked the way you could use teams to collaborate and remote work, and keep in contact with your co-workers.
I felt that the camera quality of the teams was not that great. Yes you can add backgrounds like Zoom but it would make the camera a lot more grainy looking, and sometimes the audio/camera feed would freeze or drop out.

It was really easy to learn how to use and do a test roll out. I managed to achieve that all within a day.
Its like slack or discord. But for a company. You can really get into it and do some really complex projects, that is if you can convince your users its worth it.
Its not cheap and it comes bundled with the rest of 365. If you have users on O Essentials or Premium then I would 100% recommend the time investment

Horrible. Really don't like it. Rather go with something like Slack if you can afford it, or Discord if you can't. Carrior pigeons or fax might be a better option too.
Not a whole lot. My clients use it so I _have_ to use it, but I am not much of a fan. It's useful that it integrates with the rest/most of the Office 365 suite, but that's about where the usefulness stops.
The fact that when you focus the window via Cmd-Tab, the text input is not auto-focused, so I start typing, realize I'm typing to nothing and I have to reach for my mouse and click into the textfield to continue. The fact that you're limited to 5 stupid emoji's as reactions on people's messages. Why not give me an emoji picker for everything? It's slow and loses connection often.

Overall, it is good to use Microsoft teams but I wont say that it fulfills all your needs as it even lacks at many areas. Using it, I realized Meet and call feature are practically just one feature. My team hated the compression it did when we share a image through chats. It compresses images too much that the images lost their quality a lot.
I love the variety of features it provides under one roof. The meeting feature with a maximum capacity of 10,000 literally helped my organization alot during events. The quality of video meeting is super crisp and at the same time it uses less data. With the in-built chat feature, you will forgot slack or discord completely.
Collaboration features are just limited to only Microsoft apps. Better it would be if it supports some useful apps for collaboration like Android Studio, Unity, etc.

Teams is a commercial version of a new series of communication software popularized by applications such as Discord that utilize channels for contextually relevant communication. Channels provide a context for online conversations by allowing persistent IM to be grouped into useful categories. Rich content such as images and videos can be shared directly in channel feed.
Teams may seem like another needless IM application until you start to take advantage of the efficiency enabled by sharing rich content.

Honestly, as nerdy as it sounds, I love Teams and it's an enjoyable platform to use every day for work. Does what I need it to and does it well. Not too many complaints here!
I've used Webex Slack and Discord for communication at work and nothing has worked as well as Teams. This is largely due to the fact that our organization is Microsoft-centric but most are! There is such a seamless integration across our online drive and outlook and all other microsoft apps. They're constantly coming out with new features to keep up with the WFH demand.
The mobile apps and Windows software are great but the Mac apps, just like all other Microsoft apps could definitely use some work as they don't have all the features that the others do. Reply function and threads for all chats would also be very useful.

I like that everything is in one place, so you can, for example, find a document on SharePoint, send a copy to a colleague, then start a meeting while also editing the document. Single pane of glass and all that.
It can be very clunky to set teams up initially, especially if they're dynamically-allocated. It would be nice to be able to associate a security group or O365 group to a team, and then allow guests and invited users to join as well. It would also be good to have separate voice channels available that users can jump into, a la Discord.

Microsoft Teams allows you to properly classify a team's documents, files, conversations, it is a tool that centralizes everything and works with Microsoft's Office ecosystem, which has a lot of advantage, it allows you to work with known and recognized software such as Word and PPT for example. In addition, it is possible to create virtual meetings, it was a very good tool during containment!
Now what I criticize the most about Microsoft Teams is its stability. Indeed, on some chromium-based browsers I have never managed to access the service. Likewise, the desktop app (at least for Windows) is quite slow and can be stable. For a product that wants to be professional, I really think that a tool like Slack, Mattermost or even Discord are better!

Microsoft Teams has been designed from the ground-up to help businesses get their employees to communicate with each other more efficiently and effectively. In my personal experience with Microsoft Teams, this has been one of the main reasons of the company purchasing this software and using it as a central pillar for the IT teams. The various parts of IT (software team, infrastructure team, business...
There are many features to like about Microsoft Teams, which I personally have experienced: -The overall design of it is very minimalist, simple and clutter-free. This makes it very easy to use and work with on a daily basis -The 'channels' feature is a fantastic feature which is dedicated for conversations regarding specific topics (and for specific recipients) -Skype video and audio calls can be...
To be honest, Microsoft Teams contains virtually all the beneficial features that one could want from a collaboration tool. The interface is fairly simple to use as it has a minimalist design. However, there have been a number of bugs that Microsoft Teams has been affected with, however. Although subsequent Microsoft software updates have solved a lot of these issues, it can get quite frustrating for...

Teams is robust and has every feature required in the modern office. One clear advantage to Teams is that when an Excel or Word file is shared in Teams, an employee does not have to have a license to that office product, to view/edit the shared file. Teams works on web, Apple products, phone. It's very reliable and compatible on all kinds of browser/OS/device combinations. There's no overlapping content...
Teams is incredibly robust. Some competitors such as Slack, ClickUp, or Google Drive (tangentially) may have one of the features that Teams has, but none of them have have all the tools that Teams has. A few features jump out and are particularly important to my daily workflow. Our team has a hard of hearing person and the captions are a help in her reading lips. The accessibility features that Teams...
Teams is built for the power user, not the regular user. Teams lacks conveniences to help users navigate the application. Some situations: - When a meeting has begun and I missed the call, it is really hard to reach the meeting. I usually have to go to my email to find the Teams link. It's confusing. When I open Teams, I want to see a list of missed calls and meetings in progress that I was invited...

It is the best app for video calls. Everyone is using Teams or Zoom but I prefer Discord
I don't like that it is somehow "secret" society in there. I work in marketing and for example making campaigns for IT students is almost impossible because the only place where they are is their private discord. I know it was probably the point of it, but it would be awesome to be able to get in there somehow even if you are and outsider. Thank you for your work I think IT students appreciate that.

Discord has always been an extremely easy way to communicate with either 1 other person or even a group. Discord works in real time and has live messaging which can be convenient for teams that work on it and can easily access it via mobile or via their computers.
Discord can sometimes struggle with connectivity, but usually picks up again after a short while.

Remember all thos chat rooms in the early days of the internet? Yeah, it's back and it's better than ever. Create teams, invite people, talk to them one-on-one or in a group, send a file. You can even broadcast your current screen. Amazing and powerful app.
Nothing, really. It does what it promises to do. Some features are locked behind a premium version, such as sending larger files and more emoji options. But it's inconsequential to how good this app is.
