What is OpenProdoc?
OpenProdoc is a professional document manager based on free software. The application allows the classification, management, and search of digital files. The platform is available as a web version and a portable version for installation on Windows, Mac, or Linus operating systems.
The application code is open and free, although it has an API with functionalities that enable integration with any IT infrastructure. It has a free consultation tool called OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) that does not require authentication for its use and operates as a conventional web search engine. The versatility of the application allows users to move folders from one location to another, move documents between folders and modify permissions for document access without having to generate new versions.
The application also includes the management of thesauruses or glossaries in several languages and a limited bibliographic reference manager that can be integrated into document searches. Additionally, OpenProdoc can generate document reports or searches in different formats (HTML, XML, CSV, TXT, RIS, etc.).
