Roadmunk has allowed me to visually show the roadmap, supports aligning items with the roadmap themes, which in turn helps everyone in the company understand where we are going with the product and why we are going in that direction.

On a timeline it is frustrating to move tasks, often they merge with other lines or reorder lines (this order is also not saved when archiving old roadmaps so I need to redo the visualizations and settings).

On #1, it is also important that I can align roadmap items with a theme, so that everyone else understands the benefits that roadmap items provide to the users. And the price point was good for a small product team.

This started to become more and more annoying as I was using this to manage my clients as a consultant and was not able to access the projects. Whilst it was easy to link activities together, when adding, linking or updating multiple activities this was not something could be done in one step but had to often be done individually.

I guess there might be limitations in visualizsation but Roadmunk is constantly expanding features.

So if you're in a shop that drives work through Jira tickets, for example, but also need to use Roadmunk for mapping you're in a rough spot- either pay a bunch to have Roadmunk visible to everyone, or pay just enough to have it for product owners, in which case you lose the transparency.

Adding items to a view are sometimes immediately filtered out, so you have to hunt the items down and update them to meet the filter criteria so they appear on your roadmap.

I like working with it.   But I just feel that the tool need more polish on little things to make our life easier and decrease the number of hours we are spending creating our chart.

I really like the design and I think it is quite important that the exported roadmaps do look clean and pretty as they are shared with external stakeholders.

To get the most out of it you need to bring more people into the fold, so the price goes up. But it's not a comprehensive tool for breaking down specific tasks.

As someone who is a power user of Gannt charting programs, it's a little bit of a challenge to get used to the way sub-items work in Roadmunk.

One example is the ability to toggle between setting dates and putting in buckets.

Wish there was a way to collect ideas from folks that don't have access but don't want to install a plugin.

The software itself if slow to load and almost impossible to edit while sharing your screen in a meeting.

Stakeholders can have access to the (constantly updated) product without forcing them to have accounts.

It's easy to add items and drag/drop items to adjust timelines on roadmaps.

I can also say that the sharing options (to HTML, etc.) are what absolutely seals the deal.

We ultimately moved away in favor of plug-ins to give us the functionality while retaining the visibility.

We are missing possibility for reviewer (customer) to add items.

It's hard to bulk edit items on the roadmap

The visual is bad, the way we link the two task together is weird.  

We need a roadmap tool and Roadmunk is the best we found, but not perfect.

Regardless if someone does or doesn't do the trial, could you always preset the template?

They seems to be trying to make small continuous improvements throughout the year which is nice.

Sometimes changes don't take which can be frustrating.  

I am a PM who tons of internal clients and all of them believe their projects are the most important (naturally!).
