Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

TinyTake overview
What is TinyTake?
TinyTake is a tool for capturing and annotating screenshots and videos on Windows and Mac. The software allows users to capture entire windows or selected regions of their screen, add annotations, and share their files.
With TinyTake, users can capture a still image of part or all of their screen, or from their webcam, and add annotations to the image including text boxes, picture captions, highlights, and arrows. Drag-and-drop upload also allows users to annotate and share pictures from their device’s storage. Videos of screen activity can also be recorded, including capturing mouse movements and voice, with video length of up to 120 minutes supported. Annotations can also be added to videos, with ‘start’ and ‘end’ settings to define when the annotations should appear.
Captures can be saved to users’ devices, and TinyTake also offers one-click sharing of files by email, copying files to the clipboard, and printing. Files can be shared in bulk, with automatic compression of large files by TinyTake before they are shared. Users can share entire folder hierarchies, with automatic zipping of folders before upload, and generation of individual public URLs for files and folders shared in bulk. The built-in file viewer lets users open a range of standard file types within TinyTake, including videos, images, audio, and PDFs. All uploaded and shared files can be accessed through the web gallery, and integration with YouTube enables direct upload of annotated videos.
