ARCHICAD is GRAPHISOFT's architectural BIM (Building Information Modeling) CAD software suite, delivering 2D and 3D drafting and visualization tools specifically for architects, designers and planners. With the software's latest iteration, ARCHICAD builds on legacy features with design tool improvements and the introduction of enhanced design workflow processes. Claiming a greater emphasis on "BIM inside and out", the latest version provides a remastered Façade Design workflow for the design and development of detail, hierarchical curtain wall systems that are both structurally sound and compliant. General performance improvements include GPU-accelerated, 64-bit algorithms for faster 2D panning and zooming, while Parametric Custom Profiles enable greater intelligence to be applied to wall, beam and column profiles within the software's Profile Editor. Expression-based properties allow logical expressions to be used to derive new properties and property values dependent on the element’s own parameters, plus custom graphical labeling and improved IFC import /export are extra update highlights.

The sober and uncluttered interface makes it easy to use. Management of several data in the same program. Perfectly adapted for medium-sized companies. File sharing, 3D visualization of prototypes. It is possible to make more elaborate presentations and convince partners and collaborators more easily.
Limited functionality for non-paying versions. Requires enough time to master the GDL programming language to create parametric objects. Basically, it is difficult to master all the features and sometimes the services of an expert will be required.

The business problem ArchiCad solve was time management. Having multiple people working on the same file simultaneously allows for fluidity in the modeling and design process.
The biggest pro for this program would have to be how advanced it is with team coordination
Some of its features take more time in advance to set up before using efficiently

Sometimes I like that archicad is less rigid than Revit. It's easy to create what you want and to get it to look the way it should. Rendering is a breeze. Some of the tools are beyond intuitive. They function exactly the way they should.
This is BIM light. You will be piecing together your model using slabs to represent everything under the sun. You will fudge things with solid element operations that will keep you up at night. Archicad will force you to be inaccurate unless you fight it to your last breath. You'll curse Archicad's lack of ortho snaps. The inability to create "blocks" is utterly ridiculous and maddening. The most Likeable part while I am using Archicad is "Its Most user-friendly software I ever come across, its easier, to use Compare to other Cad Software's in the market, Powerfully Presented 3D modeling along with its BIM features, on the same time its much easier to use with other Features like MEP,BIM,Structure, Project management Tools. Over all I am much happier while using this Software then Other Cad software.
The only Missing part or I would like to say, a Most difficult part is when you Export Archicad Pln file to Convert into Dwg, It always Gives problem who are using on Auto cad, no matter how well you set it up, I think Arch cad should make more easier way and make user friendly while Importing File to Dwg.
