What is BIMcollab Cloud?
BIMcollab Cloud is a building information modeling (BIM) issue management platform. All project issues are collected and managed in one place. The platform is based on the open standards BCF and IFC. As a result, all parties involved in a project have insight into the outstanding issues that are important to them. BIMcollab Cloud integrates with all BIM software.
The platform facilitates communication with all parties involved regarding possible problems in the design or execution of a construction project. Direct communication makes many emails, phone calls, and other time-consuming communications unnecessary. Architects, contractors, and subcontractors with access to the project on the platform can immediately see what is expected of them. All actions are logged by the audit trail.
Opening BCF files is done by BCF managers. This makes it possible to create issues directly for a BIM model, edit them, or comment on them. This eliminates the need to switch between applications. These plug-ins can be downloaded for free. BIMcollab can also be installed locally. The cloud data is stored at Dutch datacenters.
