Client updates feature is very popular with our clients and the AI feature to pull photos and generate a summary for the client is gold.

Its everything together in one software, the new Job Costing Budget tab is very accurate and we can control the entire job budget from there.

Other than what you would expect in the project management tab (schedule, to-dos), what we find most helpful are the daily logs and client updates.

I’ve been a long-time Buildertrend user, and while the software itself is fine and generally works as advertised, I’ve run into a major issue that anyone considering this platform should be aware of: it’s extremely difficult to export your information if you ever decide to leave.

It also logs the date, time and location of each update, which I can use as proof that we finish that job on that specific time, and if something happened after that it was not our fault.

They also make it incredibly difficult to retrieve your information and export it out if you cancel.

As a result, I’ve been forced to continue paying for a platform I’m no longer actively using simply because I need access to my historical project data.

Sometimes Buildertrend’s eagerness for constant improvement makes the portal more convoluted and makes some features redundant.

Our team uses the scheduling tool and invitation to invite subcontractors to participate most often, allowing transparency in each project.

Instead of ease of use and making the load lighter we struggled figuring out where everything was, having to rearrange and re enter what we had already put in.

Buildertrend slowed down the payment a little bit for the contractor, as I had to verify small payments that went into my bank.

Sometimes I also log deliveries or check the timeline when things are moving fast.

There is so much functionality I don't use it to it's fullest and the "college" only occurs in one place that is far from our location in Florida.

The best thing about it is that I can assign the jobs for the subcontractors and see everything through their Daily Logs.
