Pros and Cons from WeBuild users
+10
So far it seems a great way to improve tender document control, manage bidding subcontractors, update them when changes occur. We are quite happy with the experience so far.
It has always been a hassle to stay organized with multiple projects, losing documents to email streams, etc. With webuild, everything is in one spot and accessible for our most critical needs.
The tendering and document control process is excellent and saves hours of time. Also, the meeting minute function is very useful and lastly, the service support is the best I have seen.
No photo album tool, can lag at times due to the size of the files that are stored.
I did it in a couple hours and I know who is bidding, who isn't, who is looking at the plans. An amazing sense of control that we never had over ensuring we had adequate bid coverage.
Getting other parties/subbies to use this properly from their end but this has always been a problem no matter what you use.
Associates that have collaboration accounts have given great feedback about the ease of access and navigation around the information and documentation that they need to be up to date with.
The dashboard in the admin portal is perfect, keeping all of my important project information in the one place.
The ease of use and clean backend of the software makes it easy for everyone to collaborate on projects.
Centralised system, user friendly, can potentially save a lot of time once regular contacts and company templates are added.
Happy that we have implemented the system and has made projects track smoother and easier.
Within days of using Tenderfield I have saved the full year's cost of my access by not having to continually update document registers and transmittals.
The cost is very reasonable for our organisation and associates working on projects with us get easily workable access without having to outlay funds or create multiple accounts.

Pros and Cons from InEight users

Also, love the ability to export to scheduling and accounting software. Again, it substantially cuts down on the time to do it from scratch.
Because of the complexity of the system our firm was hesitant about continuing to use it shortly after I started working here.
It is like having a project manager who never eats' sleep's or takes a break. It is one of the best purchase we have made.
Hard Dollar provides us reports to collaborate with owners and other EPCM's.
For construction management this is a great software.
Since I came aboard, the company has grown from roughly 33 million to 45 million in gross revenue per year.
The thing that I like most is the ability to utilize the bid wizard for new job setup that allows copying resources, cost breakdown, account codes, etc. from an existing job to the new job.
Library feature is very impressive, the projects data can be organised region-wise, country-wise, client-wise. This feature allows to correlate the project with previously submitted project.
Product is very straight forward, especially if you came from Excel spreadsheets. Ties nicely in from a cost model to schedule to progress and into SAP which we utilize strongly.
A good amount of well integrated features that interface with many different products such as SAP, Excel, P6 etc.
InEight software can play a vital rule if the users are highly trained and have good command on complex estimating application.
Flexibility and customization. Sorting, organizing, filtering, views.

Pros and Cons from PlanetBids users

The product is easy to use and the staff at PlanetBids are so helpful. Customer Service is the best I have ever experienced.
When issuing batch responses, the user does not know the question number until the system assign them, therefore, make it difficult to reference a similar answer to the question.
Easy to use once you know what to do. I like that the reports can be put into an excel file for easy access to share out with our departments.
I do not like the fact that we are unable to set a release date on the system.
Really enjoy working with this software and the customer support is excellent as well.
The new software implemented is not as user friendly as the previous version and missing components that were available under the previous version, for instance local preference to bid responses.
Great friendly website for advertising and managing your projects for public bidding.
The PlanetBids staff support is wonderful and unmatched.
I like the ability to consolidate all procurement activities onto one platform so that both staff and the public have access to all purchasing activities in one central location.
Planet Bids is easy to use for both my staff and for suppliers. We have often had suppliers tell us that Planet Bid's customer service is excellent.
Planet Bids is excellent for Public Procurement and Contract Management.

Great product to help you determine what types of work your doing and helping you see where your doing the best at and the worst at.
Sometimes when you try to add a contact/or Project Type it does not show up on your drop down list.
Thunderbolt has allowed us to not only improve our scheduling and tracking - we now have a much better idea of our hit/miss ratios, which customers to prioritize, etc.
We found limited options. Some of the big name sales softwares out there just feel as though they are geared towards large corporate firms and they stop at pipeline and sales tracking.
The ease of use especially remotely on my I Phone or I Pad is, for me, the basis of Thunderbolt's power.
I have not had time to try out the scheduling and resource planning but if it is al usefull as the bid tracking i don't see how you can go wrong.
Like any software, there are bugs and little quirks here and there. But i can't emphasize enough how quick they are to respond and help or resolve issues.
Anything we have disliked about Thunderbolt has been addressed appropriately by the Thunderbolt team.
Ease of use and customer support is timely and professional.
The ability to track bid success rates by estimator.
I personally need to take more time to discover how it can be more useful to me.
The support team provides feedback to let you know what the issue is/was, how it is being corrected, or how new features are being implemented to improve the software going forward.
The user experience is geared towards account reps and sales managers. With Thunderbolt, we feel like we're using something specifically designed for Construction Professionals.
In addition, customer support is immediate and professional.

Ease of use, ability to configure what is needed for each role, reporting, integration and overall ease to configure the solution to meet the particular needs of the customers.
Constant problems with loading the platform each day and loading information. Constantly having to stop what we are doing to write an email and attach screen shots.
We have just gone through a quick-start implementation... it's our first time using Kahua on a project, and users continue to be highly enthusiastic about the capabilities, and ease of use.
Bugs and lack of features/reports has hampered adoption.
The easy navigation and the ability to build in so much configuration. I also like that others (owners, AE's, GC's) can share data within the network functionality.
The software is sluggish, load times and delay are a common complaint from staff - although this seems to have improved with latest update.
Additionally, it supports an effective collaboration model where project stakeholders at all levels can participate in a digital fashion.
Our experience has been mixed. Many team members see the value of the platform, others are still un-convinced.
As a platform, integration and migration with other systems is easily supported.
We liked this software due to its flexibility. You are able to configure so many options to make it your own right out of the box.
The Kahua team and their partner network are very responsive to support needs and inquiries.
Easy to use, network capable, build my own apps.
Kahua provides the ability to implement based on industry standards, adapt those standards or extend the product via configuration.
The configurable hierarchical structure provides the ability for Kahua to align with how each company is organized and how programs and projects are managed.
