I am now with Acuity Scheduling...ultra cheap and convenient for posting links to scheduling, and can link a merchant account to it for card payments.
The ladies I worked with getting connect to MindBody...Amazing! These ladies presented me with a great opportunity to connect to a huge network of people in my area that typically engage in massage services. The set up is easy, and you will have someone that makes sure you are ready to start using your scheduling system.
Tech Issues: I had nothing but issues when it came down to my clients being able to join the network and start booking appointments. What I was the most shocked/upset with is there not being a protocol in place when it came to these issues, and the reps not being sensitive the matter at hand. I couldn't have been the first person with guest experiencing an issue exactly, or similar to mine. One time...

I tried to find something I like about it, but couldn’t
Way too slow, something wrong with their server maybe. I’ve had many clients unable to connect or have very delayed connections. Way too cumbersome and not user friendly for your customers

I like that this program is catered directly towards those in the health and wellness industry.
I do think there are programs that are quite similar, while maybe not as customized to the health and wellness industry that do very much the same things for cheaper. I prefer Acuity to schedule and book appointments, plus you can still have customers pay right through Acuity.

This company structure and software is terrible. They have a poor customer service structure, and instead of helping a customer they stick behind their agreements. Truly poor customer service.
Does not allow for proper scheduling, or terrible online scheduling expierence.

I was using mindbody to replace acuity for scheduling my yoga/fitness classes and coaching client. It turns out that it has a lot of glitches for the users and on the administrator side it's overly complicated. It also doesn't have some of the features that I was used to (or perhaps I couldn't find them). For the cost of using this software I expected lots of bells and whistles, but they all cost more. I am a very small business trying to grow and have gone back to my previous software, Acuity.
The app is the one thing that is great about this product. I think it's why there are so many users.
The cost is far too high for a small business such as mine. When you factor in the exchange rate as well, almost my whole profit was going to rent and scheduling software.

Popularity of program but now they are all about making more money not serving their clients and advertising serves for others.
Customer services. Again they started marketing similar services to my members and trying to take them away from my club. They also are resisting my endnof service agreement when they changed their services.

the mindbody application is a great way to explore new classes in the city. it's also super easy to keep track of my passes and remember which classes I have booked.
Nothing! I wish there were more studios on the mindbody application and that the classes that sell last minute seats actually discounted the classes

Ease of scheduling.
Scheduling was a snap and the reminders were very nice for the clients. Scheduling multiple practitioners was a bit more difficult unless you were using the mobile app.
Backside reporting and accounting was complicated and the tracking is individual payments and visits sometimes did not make sense. This is not a software appropriate for a medical /physical therapy practice as we had hoped it would be.

I've used MB for about 4 years. It's great for Scheduling. Not great for retail. Also, although they have a significant number of non-fitness accounts like mine, they don't seem to listen to us for minor tweaks that could help a lot.

What a horrible experience, 2 months into trying to set-up and use MindBody and I just called to cancel my month-to-month service and they tell me I have to pay for another 30 days. This after numerous delays and serious time lags between training session, customer service taking hours to get back to you and never getting to the point of being fully functional. I have never been so frustrated with a company. This was such a waste of my time and money.

It's a great software for yoga studios and other, simpler practices. But for a physicial level health care office, it just isn't quite enough. I liked it for what it was and am glad to have found something better for me.

There are many great features and reminders to keep everything on schedule and updated in a timely manner.

Scheduling ease, quick to make changes
Because employees come and go, it's important to have software that's easy to learn and works smoothly. MindBody wins. The schedule comes up quickly and can be changed on the fly. It's a what-you-see-what-you-get design that users can easily learn and administrators can customize.
It's more expensive than some. But except for the cost, it's difficult to find an equivalent to this popular software.

Easy scheduling and managing clients and services.
The software makes scheduling easier and more organized. The software keeps all clients and their information easily stored and available.
There are a few features that are lacking with flexible scheduling and automated functions. The software has crashed several of times.

I was excited about Mindbody at first but it's way too complicated and expensive. It's a whole process to create recurring packages for clients and there's no confirmation afterwards. There's plenty of other great less expensive options.

It allows quick scheduling and organization of classes.
This application is so convenient when it comes to scheduling classes across different locations, keeping a variety of classes and staying organized.
It's sometimes difficult to search by the specific gym/class you are looking for. The internal search could use some improvement.

Streamlining my rental categories into one program.
Lots of options and ways to customize to your business needs. Great customer service, user interface, trial period options.
Not quite as specific as MindBody for studio management. For a complicated business model (room rental, class scheduling, appointment scheduling, etc) it is a bit daunting.

The price is something you can't beat! I can run my small yoga studio without breaking the bank. Plus, I get the same functionality as the bigger named software like Mindbody.
The customer service is e-mail only. The first time I contacted them I waited a day without hearing anything back. When I emailed them again and every time since, however, I got a response in a few hours and they were able to help on the things that were theirs to fix. Also, able to point me in the direction of someone who could help when it wasn't their problem.

I have been a Mindbody user for 10+ years. It is always hard to try something new when what you are using is tried and true. However, Mindbody has become exorbitantly expensive for my needs. And, would cost more money to integrate with Squarespace. I know others in the industry that use and love Acquity so decided to try it myself and think I'm going to like it.
As I started playing with the software in the free trial I found it to be pretty intuitive and user friendly. It will integrate with QB and my squarespace platform website.
No telephone support was difficult for me however they were very responsive to email

I am still getting used to the software. So a lot more exploring to do. I came from using Mindbody at my previous job so Acuity is a little different and will take me time to get used to but I've only heard good things.
I wish there were video tutorials on how to use the software. If there are already, I will they were easy to find.

It is a great budget and easy to launch solution for appointment booking in the fitness world but lacks full functionality to manage all aspects of the business and is better suited as part of a software stack.
We've used this software to schedule group appointments at the gym that I manage and it is easy to setup and integrate with out sales funnel (through clickfunnels integration). It is also nice that it was integrated with instagram to easily connect to our social media.
It was great for scheduling individual appointments and group consultations - but to manage our gym we needed something more all inclusive to streamline the process and decided to use Mindbody instead (although that was quite difficult to get setup properly in comparison)

There was literally nothing I liked about this software. It seemed like it was always logging me out, things were wrong or took forever to get done.
When we were using this at The WorX, there was issue after issue, problem after problem. I dreaded everything I had to update this or sign into it because I knew it was going to take forever and cause me a headache. We switched to MindBody and I was so much happier.

It’s been okay. 6/10. Support is better than WellnessLiving or MindBody, but still, sometimes they don’t get back to you - or it takes them days to get back to you. It has a decent amount of features, but it’s really lacking in the full functionality that it’s competitors have. If you’re just a solo massage therapist, go with MassageBook.
I like that it’s HIPAA compliant and allows you to book one-on-one services as well as classes.
It’s clunky. It’s not intuitive to use at all. I’ve had to reach out to support for various reasons that should have been more or less easy to figure out.
