What is ThingSpeak?
ThingSpeak is a cloud-based internet of things (IoT) analytics platform designed to help organizations across a variety of industry verticals including energy, education, farming, and more collect, visualize, and evaluate data in real-time. The platform enables enterprises to create, edit or delete private channels and define custom fields with public or private views to collect and analyze data from multiple sources.
ThingSpeak includes TimeControl, an event scheduling module, which allows organizations to schedule various recurring tasks like running specific codes, connecting to web servers, reading or writing data, and posting tweets on a weekly, daily or hourly basis. Administrators can also collect and store temperature, air pressure, humidity, and other data using sensors in homes, industrial equipment, and automobiles in a centralized repository.
Users can utilize the analytics tools in ThingSpeak to explore patterns, relationships, and trends among various data elements and display the information through plots, gauges, and charts. It also supports integration with various third-party applications such as MATLAB, Beckhoff, Arduino, Senet, ESP8266 Wifi Module, LoRaWAN, and more.
