Q. Who are the typical users of CRYENGINE?
Crytek GmbH, based in Germany, developed the CRYENGINE and thus gave professional developers in the games industry the means to produce products of high visual quality. The heart of the CRYENGINE is its rendering engine, which supports modern visual effects and makes optimal use of the available hardware resources on PCs and next-gen console systems.

With CryEngine, we are able to render the most realistic 3D models and animation for immersive games.
CryEngine is the most advanced graphics rendering game engine for realistic game development. It comes with a WYSWYP sandbox allowing you to develop and test your game seamlessly. Features realistic physics simulation, real-time illumination, and easy to use audio translation layer. CryEngine is free to use for production and just needs 5% of the profit made while using it commercially.
CryEngine can be difficult to learn with limited documentation and a small development community. The gameplay framework is a bit inflexible. Unsuitable for small projects due to performance and scalability issues.

All in all, CRYENGINE is an incredibly powerful engine that can produce amazing results. It has the potential to be a great platform for game development but does require a bit of effort to learn and master.
CRYENGINE is an incredibly powerful engine that offers amazing visuals, stunning effects, and unparalleled control over the details of the development process. It is extremely easy to use and allows for great flexibility in the development of games.
However, it does have a relatively steep learning curve and can be quite difficult for beginners to grasp. Additionally, there is a lack of documentation and tutorials which can make it difficult for developers to understand the engine's features and functions.

It has been a good experience with CRYENGINE, and it will be my choice when making a AAA quality FPS game with a fun world to explore.
I really like how you can create graphically stunning games with a focus on FPS and terrain with CRYENGINE. Also, the Physics engine here is really robust and I love the destruction models built in to it, along with the water simulation and vegetation touch bending feature. These features together can get you on the fast track of making a very fun game. Finally, I loved that a good chunk of game assets that were used in CRYTEK games were already available to use in the marketplace.
What I liked the least about CRYENGINE is its daunting learning curve. You will need to take your time and learn how to use this massive game engine, it is not as user friendly at the start when compared to Unity or even Unreal. Another bigger and major concern is the inflexibility of this engine. It is primarily suited for FPS games with a focus on outdoor terrain, and trying to make other types of games will take some effort. Finally, the community and learning resources are scant for this engine, which hinders the overall experience of using CRYENGINE.

It has been a good experience using CRYENGINE. It does tick all the boxes for a competent 3D game engine with awesome features, but it lacks in learning materials, documentation and a stellar community that some other game engines enjoy.
CRYENGINE offers so much out of the box for game developers, like a tool bag full of features, ready and waiting to be put on your game. What I liked the most about it is the Realtime lighting and the state of the art Physics engine, along with the Powerful particle system. These are all features that would take a lot of time to be implemented from scratch and require quite some tinkering to achieve on other game engines. You get the latest and the greatest when using CRYENGINE, and it has powered some great AAA titles in the recent years, namelyCrysis, Kingdom Come and the Sniper Ghost games.
The engine itself is excellent, but it is impaired by its poor documentation. The documentation is thin, and has archaic examples and code. Trying to do something when you are new will mostly lead you down a rabbit hole. The community is kind of non-existent and the resources/tutorials are sparse. So, that leads to the learning curve being high and few users. This needs to be addressed.

I love it and I'll be using it for a long time
This software is known for producing stunning graphics. It has VR support as well which is pretty cool for those looking to make VR games
I'd say that people would probably favor using its competitors more such as Unreal Engine or Unity but regardless it's still great.
