From attendance to correspondence, Sycamore has all the features that a school might need.

The email feature is way out of date and grossly insecure (one must disable security features in gmail for it to work)

I like the variety of features that Sycamore has available.

It can be laborious to navigate and use at times so training is really important when implementing this product.

The problems we have been able to solve mainly are having the ability to look up information at a few clicks of the computer.

This resulted in significant lost time and required us to restart our search process. If you are a Canadian private school or college that requires tax receipting, I would not recommend investing time in this platform.

This applies broadly across Canadian private schools and colleges, where issuing tax receipts is part of normal operations and compliance.

As a private Christian school in Canada, tax receipting is a standard requirement, not a unique or specialized request.

We have had a few instances where we have turned on a feature and it not work, only to have Classter report that they have had to do some backend fixing to get it to work.

I liked the horizontal scroll part less, when in a window you have to see all the left and right columns, you have to go all the way down to be able to scroll left and right

Operations Counsellor 

Something I liked most about Classter is the finance tab and how nicely the details are set out for it, it helps even calculate the commission as per the percentage.

It is a very well developed software that covers many requirements and expectations from a college/university.

Some of the features we didn't even know we needed and are now growing into and getting setting up.

Students Services Councelor 

For example get a list of students who were born in October or a list of students whose medical insurance is expired in October, so we do not have to check student date of medical insurance expiry date one  by one.

Teacher and IT

Students will be able to see their courses, their grades and their progress.

Senior Academic Manager 

Sometimes information does not save the first time. If I change the course status and the registration date and press save, the course status will be saved, but the registration date will NOT be saved.

Technical Administration

Easy to browse, helpful that you can retrieve same info via different menus.

Operations

It is professional Database where you can access to the financial and academic  information of the students

I like that teachers can link documents to their sessions and assesments, such as lesson plans or materials.

File size limitations: For example: entering student ID photos is difficult and time consuming due to the file size restriction.

User friendly application that keeps everything neatly in one place.

The most impactful features of Classter are the paperless admission process, financial management, Mobile App, online academic surveys, and quizzes.

Some features need to be automated since in some cases, there are steps that are forgotten such as the updating of a synoptic mark on the grade book.   while it is good to give multiple options some should be restricted such as creating an assessment from wither bulk assessment or from assessment scheduling especially since the scheduling section does not take into consideration the overall mark.
