It will still send a credit card - which in most cases is not how people want to get paid. If 5 happens to you (where you select to pay via ACH from your bank instead of a virtual card) your bank account will STILL pay for it like a prepayment to your LOC (stupid). If your account is frozen - you can't even use those funds anyway. If you reach out to customer support - you will chat with someone who is extremely unresponsive and feels like they are talking to 10 other people.

BILL Spend & Expense, formerly Divvy, has a fantastic interface on both mobile and online app. If you have not had a receipt management/credit card management service for your team, this really DOES improve your life.

Initially, the idea of having a line of credit with built-in expense tracking seemed promising. But any potential benefits were completely overshadowed by poor communication, lack of transparency, and practices that put small businesses at serious financial risk.

It was not until we called Bill that they even had any idea there was suspicious activity on the account despite the thief making repeat purchases at the apple store, expensive clothing stores, etc. that our company has zero history making purchases at. When the fraud claim was filed it was erroneously noted that the stolen card was still in the possession of the employee. While we attempted to correct this, Bill rejected the fraud claim and refused to appeal their decision.

I borrowed $13,000 to cover payroll, and just days later, they pulled the entire amount back from my business account without warning, sending my balance deep into the negative.

This is my first spend management software experience, and whether Divvy is advanced or standard, it really has improved the workflow for expense and receipt management.

Meanwhile, the employee’s tiny credit union, that apparently has a much better fraud protection algorithm than a $10B tech startup, refunded them the $1000 thirty minutes after they called to tell him he had suspicious activity on his account.

While I'm glad to have reward options and be able to give my teams access to funds that I can see and manage, we are dealing with a lot of frustration on an almost daily basis for a tool that's supposed to make our jobs easier.

They are guaranteed to get my subscription which means for every one user they capture, they spread like a virus.

Scrolling through transactions and entire weeks of transactions will disappear until you log out of the tool and log back in (I have screen recordings).

Software - creating budgets and getting cards to people is pretty simple but in the past 30-60 days the software has started to manifest some bugs.

This is fraud but I can't take them to court because it would cost too much money so I am hoping this review can help spread awareness about how they are maliciously defrauding people like me.

It is easy to see how much budget there is on your company card, and I really appreciate how quickly they populate.

Oh, and my account was frozen because I didn’t know our first date to pay, and had a $38 balance.

I was forced into purchasing a subscription because two of my clients use Bill for their payment methods.

You can still (purposely or accidentally) make payments from it regardless if it's frozen or not.

I feel like they are a bad actor in a surprising way in this industry because they do not work with other accounting or bookeeping SaaS

Their lack of communication, transparency, and consideration for how small businesses operate is unacceptable.

This kind of unpredictable behavior is dangerous for any small business relying on stable cash flow.

Let’s be honest—chasing down receipts is one of the most tedious parts of expense management.

Using his credit card and intuitive software, he was able to automate the entire process of expense reporting, budgeting, and reimbursement.

No system can completely eliminate human forgetfulness, but BILL definitely reduces the friction.

So you should only use Bill if you are sure you will never lose a credit card, never have one stolen, or never use your cards.

You cannot cary a balance - which is not clear when signing up

For cash management, this seems like the fastest way to destroy your business.

I like that there is an app, that I can attach receipts, that I can see what I've spent, that I can refer back to spending easily, and that I can pull my bills for review.

My company is in serious trouble because of how it defaults our payments.

I reached out to customer service - it has still been a week and a half.

BILL as a whole is hostile architecture as an accounting/business "solution."

It's simple and it sends reminders to your email which comes in handy.

They are difficult to contact and when you do get in touch with them they don't have enough familiarity with their own product to be helpful

That said, BILL has made this process about as simple and painless as it can be.

They say they will “escalate it” or resolve it.

I even scheduled it because I have meetings back to back most days.
