Pros

It's a nice incentive to encourage cost savings for the company and really nice for employees if you aren't too particular about your lodgings.
The ease of use and functionality is great and it makes it easy to track where your reports are at and when it has been approved.
I really enjoy expensify and everything it encapsulates. It's easy, and quite frankly, effective and I recommend to everyone.

Pros

This is a great software for companies looking to get important expense detail, who like customization and reporting, and want integration with any number of software platforms.
Emburse Nexonia is easy to use and I have dealt with customer service and they were friendly and efficient. I use this monthly and so far so good.
Easy to upload and maintain all your expenses at same place. Nice and clean user interface, and support of various formats.

Cons

Our company have multiple entities in the US and in EU and expensify does not support this, the integration with xero is a mess i don't understand how does it work...My overall experience is bad.
Criminal billing practices. I barely used the software and they are charging me for a year subscription and won't let me cancel.
They violate their own privacy policy by sending out non-product related information to their customer base. This violates the agreement that they make you sign.

Cons

I had an instance where I had to delete the app and re-download because it lost my card info.
Sometimes data entered through the mobile app gets synced with a delay to the profile causing missing data in the middle during synch delay.
Most of the time sync errors indicate what needs to be corrected so that it can successfully transfer to the ERP, but sometimes there are sync errors that are difficult to pinpoint.

I like the mobile app -- it makes submitting expenses so easy. Although the desktop version is also really easy to use as well.

Cons

While the interface is easy to navigate, it can get a bit confusing between expenses and reports to group expenses under.

The software is adequate but I really do not appreciate when company leaders involved their political opinions onto their customers. The [SENSITIVE CONTENT] letter ahead of the last election was at best inappropriate.

Pros

Expenses can be added on the fly and then accumulated in a report submittal. This greatly simplifies the submittal process for a frequent traveler. Expense capture via app is key to be sure I am reimbursed for all my expenses

Cons

Company rules dictate how expenses are flagged / approved. Even with approvals these out of rule expenses can get hung up. This has caused me to resubmit expenses several times with absolutely no transparency as to what the real issue is

Ease of use. Value for the money--reduces paperwork and accounting costs. You can upload expenses the second you finish the transaction.

Pros

Easy to use and learn. It can be easily combined with other accounting software and makes tracking expenses very quick and simple. Several users can register their expenses in the same pool.

Cons

Assigning expenses to different and multiple projects is not straightforward, so it can be difficult to allocate expenses when you are dealing with multiple projects.

Easy help in situation without an invoice

I use Expensify in case of no invoice purchases. It helps me recover the money spent in a simple and pleasant way :) It's really intuitive to use (at the beginning you can have some confusion, but don't worry, you will learn how to use it!).

Pros

- intuitive to use - useful mobile app - just take a picture of the receipts and upload them right away

Expensify is a great tool to track, request, and receive reimbursements for expenses that come from the business you work for.

Cons

Expensify makes you jump through a couple of hoops when trying to submit expenses. If you do not create a report full of expenses, it will not be submitted.

Cons

Expensify makes it easy to submit expenses and get paid quickly and efficiently. It also offers real-time expense reporting integrated with applications like Bill.com.

Pros

Expensify is a great tool for managing corporate expenses, submitting for approval and getting reimbursed quickly. It's easy to upload receipts, itemize expenses and submit to management for approval. I've use it for both travel expenses as well as a variety of office and businesses expenses.

Cons

Although scanning receipts is an option, sometimes it does not read well and manual data input is still required.

Overall, the tool is ok to use. I don't give it a huge recommendation. Our company is switching to a new easier to use the tool.

Pros

The tool makes it easy to add receipts through smart scanning and filling out a lot of the information.

Cons

The tool is hard to navigate. The difference between expenses and reports sounds good, but gets confusing and sometimes I'll end up with duplicate expenses. Login doesn't work sometimes as well.

Very good, smooth process to sort out your expenses. Can keep an open trip and add expenses as you go.

Pros

A solid tool for tracking & submitting expenses. Can scan receipts and import certain credit/bank charges automatically. You do need receipts for purchases over certain amounts, although this may be customizable by company.

Cons

Scanning receipts can take a decent amount of time. Also needs a better solution for when you don't have a receipt, which I end up using pictures of credit card statements.

Easy coding and recording of expenses.

Pros

I really like the mobile application a lot. The Smart Scanning feature is very helpful and does half of the work for me when recording my expenses.

Cons

Sometimes whenever I take a picture with the mobile app, the picture doesn't save and I lose that receipt. Also, sometimes the auto submit feature of reports submits reports that wasn't complete.

Pros

I love that I can upoad recipts easily and the amounts then its super simple for my manager to apporve or deny the expense.

Cons

Nothing so far but I don't use it extensively just for monthyl expenses.

Nexonia missing OCR/functionality; submitting takes forever; impossible to get data when you leave

Emburse seems to buy up these expense reporting platforms, collects money from them and then does not seem to invest in improving any of the functionality. We started with Nexonia around April 2021 and were off by May 2022.There are just so many better options out there for a similar price. We switched to Concur. Although not perfect, it is a thousand times better than Nexonia.

Pros

Not really anything positive to say about this software. Everything we hoped it would be, it wasn't. Customer service was OK. Corporate credit card sync seemed to work fine.

Cons

BEWARE: They do not really have true OCR. This is the biggest downside. Typically, an OCR with expense reporting like Concur or Expensify finds key information and automatically matches this information (vendor, amount) with a corporate transaction. In Nexonia, you need to manually match every...single... transaction. Our users hated it!It took me an hour or more to do an expense report in Nexonia...
