I had no missed calls and no voicemails). Unless my phone was being tapped, it's highly unlikely the breach was on my end - The card is used to purchase my software annually and some occasional restocking on Amazon, so most purchases are between Dec-Feb. The timing of the breach was extremely suspect.

The interview format within the program is also mediocre, I would say this program is more for advanced Tax Preps who knows their forms and what form they need for each client, some forms like the office credit under Schedule C does not work and you have to manually input the credit, so there are some bugs as well.

I was given a plan where I pay $198 a year and $5 per e-file, the [sensitive content hidden] was very interested in my business in the beginning and called me multiple times and answered my phone calls.

The customer support level is non-existent, the program is mediocre it does its job but I had to pay a membership with DocuSign so that my clients can sign their documents.

I'm able to access it from any computer, so if I need to work from my work computer or from my tablet I can do so.

The training sessions were clear, structured, and tailored to real-world use, which made learning the software both efficient and practical.

I already perform a review of the forms and calculations that would offset the other negative things I have read about their accuracy issues, so I was willing to take that chance if they ever added those forms.

Wish it would have at the end of the return and option to show the customer like a snapshot that we can show the customer what the taxable income was, what the tax amount was for that and at the end reflecting their refund amount or even what they owe.

At times, you have to move in and out of forms to manually add information.

I have a client that is the financial representative for another client.   When I tried to send her a request to her for her individual return use the portal, it would not allow it since her email address is used for the other client, which she represents.   But it did explain why the emails were failing.  

What I liked most about MyTAXPrepOffice is how it brings everything together into one seamless, easy-to-use platform.

I chatted with one of the tech support people because I saw that it was calculating less in (I think it was capital gains), and he pointed me to the publication where it shows an alternate method that I didn't know existed, and Lacerte wasn't using and doesn't appear to have the option to use unless I manually override it after speaking to Lacerte's rep.

They didn't even bother to call me once before closing my ticket stating the breach must have occurred on my end (though they stated in the ticket that they called and left me a voice message.

The software itself is pretty easy to navigate if you knw how to prepare taxes and it is very affordable compared to other professional taxware programs. And you are not limited by the number of returns you prepare.

Their payroll system and Income Tax program not the best, however, 70% of the tax forms were user friendly than my prior software provider.

It also includes a customer portal and KBA signature options, but to be fair, I do not use them because I use TaxDome.

They couldn't be bothered with this, so I requested a refund as I am in my trial month and will proceed forward with Drake again for 2025.

They were also very responsive to questions and took the time to ensure nothing was left unclear.

It’s evident that they care about their clients’ long-term success, not just initial setup.

Not only had I not been contacted at all, but not a single update had been made on the ticket to let me know they were even looking into it.

I didn't get to know the intricate details of how everything works in my initial training session.

I can search just about anything, and it pulls articles and how-to's for it.

Most of them do not prepare returns or have basic tax knowledge, and I generally only call for something complicated.

Every time the real-time TIN match fails, I try contacting their live chat support to ask for help and to ask for a refund (because realtime TIN match costs $1/each vs. the $0.37 each for standard 1 day TIN matching) but not once in the last 3 months has anyone ever actually been on live chat to help, only the half-baked useless AI chatbot that keeps suggesting I read their support articles on "What is a W9?"

Because they have ignored and not addressed, nor taken accountability for the issues described above, as well as not acknowledged receipt of video evidence of the issue, I haven't even brought up the solution of refunding me the 8 and allowing me to submit them as new filings since the others appear to be stuck.

I have to wait 1-2 days for the results to appear but only after receiving dozens of emails saying my TIN match results for BLANK are ready.

Tax1099 is great for e-filing, its simple and quick and secure saves times and money from having to go to post office and pay for certified mail en order to get confirmation of the forms being filed.

I checked all the boxes for federal & state filings, mail delivery, email TIN Verification, the went to pay & set up Credit card.  

That was strange because every single record we add goes through TIN matching when we add them.  

Tax1099 is convenient way to process the 1099 requirements without complications and fits into our unique needs as a firm without a large cost commitment throughout the year.  

It is May 10, 2024 and 8 of 20 submissions are marked as Submitted instead of either rejected or approved by the IRS.

I have 1 client who has almost 2000 1099s, also easy as I upload a csv file, and the tiered pricing is comparable - if not lower, then other processors.

Thanks to a recent Tax1099 screw up again, A REALLY BIG ONE with the Social Security Administration, we were just told that the IRS may agree finally to waive fees.  

I believe this because all of my other resubmissions that have been done, 12 of them now, have been accepted or rejected in hours.

Tax1099 makes it easy to track status, saves recipients year over year, copies recipients to other payers (we have a lot of payers that use the same vendors) and follow up.

It is also the ONLY option for e-filing 1099s if you use QB desktop which almost all of our clients do.    BUT don't wait til the last minute to e-file or the system will become bogged down immensely.

I still have 8 submissions that are marked as Submitted meaning the IRS has done nothing with them.

The ability to submit information returns in batches when the client files waiting for additional Form W9 ingormation.

When I started with the organization, we mainly used it for a few 1099s. As we changed, we took payroll in house and Tax1099 made it easy to file the forms.

They are, I'm sure, stuck in some queue on Tax1099 side, but show as waiting for the IRS.
