Pros

Software is fabulous easy to use never lose data and you can run multiple companies.
Tim and Tom have been very responsive in addressing any questions or examining any issues we have had; they and their support team are hands-on.
In addition, we have helped a number of businesses set up and convert from their previous accounting software. Plus&Minus has a number of built-in tools that really help in the process.

Pros

User friendly design that is easy to learn and navigate, great for invoicing people as well as paying invoices, good organization of invoices and payments.
Quickbooks is the bread and butter of my business, it is the best accounting program I have used. I love that it continues to improve and allow more integration with apps and documentation programs.
The help on the team when getting this product was great, the features are honestly really great, I use it for payroll as well and it is really worth the cost.

Cons

The common thread that held all these large software systems was their complexity, lack of reliability and the big-ticket expense we had to pay just to get things to work correctly.
The complexity of the other accounting software systems often resulted in long and difficult implementations.
Exporting and importing tools for the various aspects of the system dramatically cut down the time that would be necessary to make the same multiple changes or updates manually.

Cons

Submitting hours for the wrong week unintentionally can be frustrating because there is no way to reverse it without supervisor permissions.
The customer service is terrible. I usually get forwarded from person to person because I'm in the "wrong department," but I know it's because the person just doesn't know the answer.
No recourse through customer service. Data is held hostage as leverage for stopping cancellation of unauthorized charges, ie: sure you can cancel but we're not sure what will happen to your data.

I have used Plus&Minus for many years. Easy to learn. For a construction company, like ours- it gives me all the job cost and financial info I need. I have used many different accounting softwares, in the 32 years I have been at this company and I see no reason to ever change. Last year we tried going on the QuickBooks----no comparision. We continued on using Plus&Minus. I cannot give you anything negative about this software. The support team for this software is amazing.

Quickbooks is an expensive proposition for a small company, even with the popularity it enjoys. Screens are complicated and many items must be re-written, increasing the chance for errors. There are many options at a cost.

Pros

Covers all accounting needs, if you know what you are doing.

Cons

Not intuitive, convoluted screens and menues. Re-writing = more chances of errors. Very easy to do journal entries, which can be a plus or a minus.

Pros

QuickBooks makes it easy to keep track of my business expenses, allowing me to accurately know my plus minus for the year. Knowing the numbers in your business is crucial, and QuickBooks works perfectly for that. It also integrates seamlessly with some of my other software.

Cons

The learning curve can be steep getting to know the ins-and-outs of the software. You have to dedicate some time to learn how to use it properly.

Overall, minus the credit card linking, I do love the features that Quickbooks has to offer.

Pros

I love being able to quickly look at my books and see what our profits are at, what our expenses has been, and being able to quickly access reports that I am interested in or reports that my accountant or a bank may need to access.

Cons

I sometimes have trouble linking up my credit card accounts. Even after several tries, it doesn't want to connect or it times out.

When I started using QuickBooks it only took me like a day to get familiar with the software and I have never faced a single issue when I was using this software.

Pros

What I like the most about QuickBooks is that it is very easy to use and it has a lot of accounting capabilities. All these features are easy to access and some of them are one click away. Also, they have an online solution that can be purchased by any company to get their finance work done.

Cons

Honestly, I do not find any minus points in this particular software. QuickBooks does everything in a very efficient way.

it covers virtually every aspect in account management and its ability to have more than one company at a time is just staggering and astonishing compared to other software of its kind. it has a brilliant user interface and is beginner friendly, easy to use.

Cons

i tried getting quickbooks on my apple mac device and i was unable to. plus i need a quickbooks server to run quickbooks. plus some credit unions are not listed in the software

The customer service providers were terrible and needed assistance with every request. I started a new account and tried to set up a discounted account, not the trial ended but they said I'd to start a new business to get the discount.

Pros

I have shifted from the desktop version to the cloud. The fact that everything from receipts and payments is synced to the web app is really helpful.

Cons

The CS is not as good plus, I think they need to add more addons

Saves thousands in accounting costs.

Pros

Makes paying bills easy. Accountant loves the reports, Payroll and tax submission is so easy. Quarterlies are a piece of cake.

Cons

Cost. The price is very cost prohibitive to small business. Plus they are always charging for something.

Quickbooks est un logiciel très efficace pour moi qui suis freelance, formatrice à distance. Je l'utilise très régulièrement pour mes factures et mes déclarations d'impôts

Pros

Ce logiciel pratique et intelligent est très simple à prendre en main et très intuitif. C'est un assistant technique aux multiples possibilités qui propose tous les outils essentiels à une entreprise pour organiser ses livres, gérer son stock, suivre ses ventes et même gérer ses bulletins de paie, ses déclarations d'impôts et ses factures. Enfin, cet outil flexible et puissant qui existe en éditions personnalisables permet de nombreuses intégrations pertinentes, telles que la synchronisation avec les comptes bancaires pour se simplifier la vie et optimiser son temps. Extension disponible pour réaliser facilement vos impot vos même

Cons

Petite faiblesse en gestion des acomptes et quelques difficultés à utiliser certaines fonctions, un peu plus compliquées

Simple, but still a learning curve

It's great -- gets the job done and more. Financial reporting is a plus.

Pros

Provides summary detail and line-item detail, whatever you want to chose it's there.

Cons

The learning curve is kind of steep, but covers all the GAAP processes and policies.

Mostly, this product has saved a lot of time and being mobile is big plus!

Pros

This product simplifies the bookkeeping aspect of running a small business. As a small business owner, your time is your money. And anything that improves your production AND saves you time is as good as gold.

Cons

The only real drawback is my own. And that would be just the initial learning curve and terminology of any software program. Just define your words and terms anytime you get bogged down.

The mileage tracker is a big plus! That's my favorite feature of it, in all honesty.

Pros

I think Quickbook's pricing is reasonable and on point for what you get. I also like the fact that they offer an integrated mileage tracking app for convenience! I find that Quickbooks is fairly easy to use as well.

Cons

Bank account integration is a bit tricky (for me, at least). It took forever to connect! - Then trying to organize my expenses was a whole other mess. I personally like Freshbook's invoicing platform much more.

Pros

Accounts are the most important when your business is on a smaller level. And Quick books has helped me take care of all my accounting needs.

Cons

I think file size is an issue. I would like greater file size support. Plus a better quicker support.

We saved big money by migrating our accounting department to the cloud with the help of quickbooks

We have saved a lot of money on freelance accountants and auditors with quickbooks. Our internal expense tracking process was inefficient and error prone, a problem that quickbooks solved masterfully The fact that its online means that team members can access records from anywhere making our business run more efficiently

Pros

Quickbooks has saved us so much money that was spent on paperwork. Initially we had to print out a lot of bank records before we could start working them. This expensive inconvenience was solved by the banking feature where all that's needed is connect a bank account to the quickbooks account. Expense tracking is now so much easier, we don't have to keep a little booklet/spreadsheet of daily and monthly expenses. We were able to find out and rectify inefficiencies what were costing us money without having to bring in external auditors. The Quickbooks UI is just wonderfully done; they have done a masterful job at mixing color schemes and animations in a way that makes book keeping an enjoyable activity.

Cons

The feature rich plus package is a little pricey for new businesses that can't yet justify such a recurring monthly expense
