For Departmental and Cost Centre reporting, we had developed a semi‑automated process: reports were generated from Prophix, processed through a VBA macro to produce complete reporting packages (Actual vs. Budget vs. Variance), then batch‑converted into 120–130 PDF files with appropriate naming conventions.

Budget owners use workflow‑enabled templates to review, update, and submit their budget changes as part of a structured Manager Task workflow.

Over the years, however, we gradually transitioned all major financial processes—including financial reporting, cash flow reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning—into Prophix.

It pulls all of our data together in one spot and allows for multiple different layers of the data/reports

With this upgrade, we were able to fully leverage our 100‑user license without the need to locally install or maintain Prophix Prime.

With several companies and departments, in order to make reports usable for end-users, all have to be selected...then the refresh time can be up to a minute or two.

The more I use it, the more I am comfortable with it am becoming famaliar.

The Prophix Analyzer is an Excel Ad In feature that gives users easy access to the financial data through Excel which makes reporting and analysis at month end quicker and easier since Excel is natural for most users.

This allows us to avoid consuming IT resources, and we can resolve issues faster and move quicker when we want to make updates or enhancements to our model or processes.
