The above is for an investment pool for my elderly parents structured as a Partnership, so it will be able to receive a stepup basis when they pass away so that they can seamlessly transfer assets to their grandchildren.

There is no ability to enter a 1099 (a 1099 has simple numbered boxes, but TurboTax business does not, nor do they use the same or even similar terms and as I found out after a 2 hour call there simply is no way to enter foreign tax expenses into TurboTax business for a partnership).

TurboTax Business is a great tool for doing small business taxes.

I chose TurboTax Business because I thought it too would be user friendly, functional and well supported.

I used TurboTax for several years without issue, but when filing for 2024 taxes, they showed I was owed a refund.

All in all, TurboTax is susceptible to major glitches in their software.

I found that none of those assumptions was correct.

I been doing turbo tax  on and off for 10 years.   If you have a self employed  business income can use your 1099 and  input that info or if you did turbotax last year it will bring it over from last year.

I have filed both individual and business taxes with Turbotax for years.

However, TurboTax filed a different return with the government, instead showing that I owed the government money.
