We have a large number of walk-in and in-office appointments, so having an option that allows clients to complete and sign documents without needing to log into the app would be extremely helpful.

I wanted it to be able to collect payments through CPACharge that I set up with credit cards fees to be paid by clients. When I turn off the integration it still looks like we take payments through portal and clients are annoyed.

My last example is that when I am uploading a POA, I have to upload it to the "Tax Return" Documents folder, to allow them the opportunity to sign it, which is strange because many people would consider that to have been mis-filed.

i switched from canopy tax and i really liked their client info for emails, phone numbers, etc. to be copied easily. since some forms require mailing it would be great to copy addresses with click of button.

Some areas feel less flexible than expected, such as reporting, fine customization, and a few workflow details.

I also have had to sync my email multiple times (it has happened a few times in one year, but I usually have to re-sync it about 20 times for every iteration.

I am a solo practitioner, and TaxDome saves me hours each week, and it lets me see at a glance whether I am waiting for my client or my client is waiting for me.

Say you sign a tax client in October, and you want to send the proposal to get the EL signed and price agreed upon, however, you don't want to invoice at that time.

I would like to Schedule Send Chats to clients, or the ability to Schedule when the auto-chats go out (like not at 12:01am on a holiday like they did yesterday).

I first started using TaxDome as an employee of a tax firm. When I started my own business, it was a no-brainer that I would use TaxDome, because I knew its capabilities and how it would make running my business that much easier.

It keeps all their information at hand. When they need a copy of their return, no need to contact me, just print. If they lost their W-2.

The only downside is that it requires time upfront to learn and adapt the system to your firm’s processes. But that investment pays off in the long run.

It is especially helpful for keeping files, requests, and deadlines organized across many clients.

Notifications can get noisy, and performance can occasionally feel slow when moving between clients or large documents.

Invoicing and e-signature features are built-in, which saves time and reduces the need for multiple software subscriptions.

Its hard for me to say what I like least about TaxDome because as I've mentioned the architecture allows you to use what you need and pretty much skip the complexity or functionality that you dont.

This really isn't a "con" but to fully understand the power of TaxDome and properly implement the processes and gain the largest portions of the higher quality output and increased efficiency, you need to reprogram your mind on how to run a CPA firm and take the time to understand and train your staff on pipelines, workflows, recurrences, linking to jobs, integrating everything.  

It simplifies so much for my business and makes the whole process of engaging with a client, providing tax organizers, e-signing returns, and client invoicing so streamlined.

The left-hand side bar navigation doesn't feel very organized to me, the TaxDome drive doesn't integrate with Mac, there is no way to make a folder private from all other users in the firm, it only integrates with 2 credit card processors, so I had to switch away from the processor I really like.

What I like most about Tax is the CRM system and also the document management enable to give and store clients documents or they’re able to get instant access to their things without asking me for consistently
