I primarily use Teampay for submitting reimbursements related to company benefits, travel expenses, and employee recognition or award purchases.

The Slack prompts made it simple to submit a request for a card to be issued, and I really like that Teampay also shows me account updates—like when a transaction is declined—right in Slack.

What I liked most about Teampay was the efficiency it brought to expense management, how easy it was to get reimbursements processed quickly, and the helpful Slack notifications that kept me updated throughout the process.

Pretty good, there were a few snaffoos getting started and the cancel a card in one click thing is pretty dumb, accidentally canceled my first one and had to order a brand new physical card and wait for it to show up

The auto-selected categories for physical cards are generally never correct. If a user selects the Sales-transportation category for an Uber ride, it seems like the Sales category will be selected for all other Uber purchases regardless if the user is in sales.

I wish this could have more integration with time tracking apps, sometimes I'd like to keep a record of how long or how frequently I've been using a product I purchased.

For instance, if I want to upload a receipt for a transaction two days ago, I wouldn't even be able to find it because I get flooded with notifications about other transactions as well.

I didn't do the integration but as far as I can tell you can only create expense POs in NetSuite and not items which makes matching challenging when there are an uncertain number of payments of uncertain amount.

having a place to upload receipts as you spend money would have been helpful, so you could drag and drop as you're doing all monthly expenses, but as I had relatively few this was not an issue.

It’s also directly linked to my bank account, so once something is approved, I don’t have to worry about deposits or tracking payments manually.

The team pay site is easy to navigate and review transactions and receipts that have been added or that are missing and need to be added.

Now that we use them for our corporate cards, AP, and expense reimbursements, I can't imagine going back.  

This is likely just how credit cards work but the transaction may not be listed on the date the purchase was actually made (sometimes a day or two after).

I'm not sure what the glitch is, but it's frustrating when we do things correctly and save them, only to have Finance ping me, saying we're missing receipts.

Sometimes when I upload my reciept on the page once the card has been used, it won't save and i will have to refresh the page to upload it again.

That said, the onboarding and setup process requires careful planning to align workflows and policies with company needs.

It's not an implementation issue so much as it is a UI issue where one has to think each time how to upload.

We began our relationship with them just for corporate cards, but quickly transferred as many of our processes over as we could.  

I was also able to upload receipts and my reimbursements came quickly as a direct deposit.

The interface is intuitive, and the process for submitting expenses is straightforward, which saves time.

Larger amounts of money take time to add, and sometimes it takes several days for the money to come across.

So if we do need to look up a specific budget, we have to click through several pages.  

I have noticed that there is a slight lag or delay at times when it comes to payments or refunds from sites.

I do see new options at each log in so I know we're building the plane as we fly it.

If you're not familiar with the system, the interface can take a little time to get used to—especially figuring out which category or vendor to select when submitting a request. But once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty straightforward.

Teampay’s value is most apparent in mid-size and larger companies; small teams might find the cost outweighs the benefit.
