I have been with Xero for many years. I love the sense of community and i LOVE that I am not being asked to upgrade or upcharge the way some other companies do.

I love the app and gives me accounting on the go. Helps me track invoices and profits with ease.

There are no delivery notes/packing slips. They tout a "workaround" but be warned, it's exactly 10 extra clicks so it's really not an option if you need this feature.

The ease of use and reputation are by far the greatest part of this product. In addition to this, the range of potential integrations is fantastic.

Our main complaint is that Xero stopped doing payroll in 2018, so now you have to pay an additional fee to a payroll processor such as Gusto.

Changing accounting software from Xero is a horrible experience. They make it very difficult to pivot to other software.

Great that our external accountants and legal support can access online as they need. Seems to be continuously evolving  and its reassuring to see ongoing development of the product.

I very much like the ease of uploading expenses to Xero and the fact that you can save photos of your receipts rather than keep loads of paper receipts.

Ease of use, comprehensive guides, excellent video tutorials, proposals as you enter data, learning. Ability to store receipts & data for 10 years and going paperless.

If you have very basic knowledege you are good to go. It is fantastic to do your clients invoice, payments, create offers and see everything what is going on in your business.

I tried other apps for my accounting but lexoffice is the most comprehensive and at an excellent value.

The support suggested that I should simply use another booking account. However, a completely wrong one, which would have led to a wrong accounting.

This means that the software is lost for all those who want to book "correctly" at some point. Very quickly I came to a point during testing, where I was missing a certain account to book.

I was able to create an account and write my first invoice in about half an hour. Simple yet useful templates and intuitive user interface supported me in doing so.

Office Management

Lexoffice is super easy to use, it translates pdfs automatically into data, you can search SKR numbers just by typing in matching keywords and makes financial planning so much faster.

It took me super long to learn how to use lexware, the mother software of lexoffice. As soon as I was able to switch to lexoffice, it was such a relief.

Quick to setup, easy to use, gets the job done, perfect for a start from the run.

Controller

The export file of the raw data is a bit confusing and needs some time to understand.

The restriction to a small part of the DATEV system of accounts. According to the provider, this is intentional.
