It is even more frustrating when there is no solution to an error and you have to wait for a fix and put up with the errors until the fix comes out.

I liked the ability to create my own layouts and favorite encouters to be more efficient. Also like the feature where I can just duplicate previous notes and diagnosis.

I felt I received great personal attention from helpful trainers. Having an implementation coordinator is helpful to keep me on track during the entire process.

I believe it to be as good as any competitor for a fraction of the cost. It is generally pretty self explanatory and user friendly.

Connectivity is more reliable than the other 2 cloud bases EHRs and customer service is awesome.

The EHR is easy to use with a great implementation team which makes transitioning great.

Software Support is amazing They are top notch and always provide a solution in a timely manner.

I can easily explain my issue (or what I want to accomplish) and I am directed to the department appropriate person in a timely manner who can assist me quite efficiently and professionally.

The support team is amazing!!!!!!!!!  Physician schedules can be as intricate as you need. Images easily stored in the medical record.

The SQL search function is difficult to use. Sometimes we have had troubles with the stability of the software - sometimes it crashes and you have to restart it.

The billing program has to be checked and often rebilled for  missing claims. The drop down lists are not optometry specific and can be very tedious to find the right listing.

The ability to interface all of  our images from topography to ERG into the cloud EHR with ease.

The web registration is very unfriendly for patients and the practice alike. We are unable to access the information other than importing.

There are constant updates that cause us to be very frustrated.

EHR is integrated, BUT, you have to pay for the software up-front, purchase and maintain your own server, and pay for monthly subscription for customer service.

The ability to customize screens and the VSP integration are huge positives for our office too.

Our trainer, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], was very knowledgeable and patient. The integration with outside software can be tedious and confusing.

Great customer service and implementation team at Compulink.

Had this software for more than 20 years and have seen it evolve from a DOS system to a Windows system. EMR part of the software is very good. Like the equipment interface. Billing, Recall, and Inventory functions are good. 
Software support is good, but response time can take a while. Problems always get fixed. I like the online seminars. There is a lot of functions that I have not used.
Difficult to customize the software. It can be done, but too complicated for me to figure out.

Complete and Comprehensive Practice Management Software

Overall, it is a good system that is user friendly.  Some of the upgrades are not necessarily great for how our business is designed, but the ability to customize is helpful with quite a bit of that.

Restored from a backup to a new computer. My only negative is the drawing capability in the exam screen is not as good as it used to be. I customized my exam screens via screenwriter and use a lot of drop downs because I type slow.

My experience with Compulink Ophthalmology Advantage for small practice management couldn't be better. Compulink software is designed to help their customers offer high-quality healthcare in an ever-changing environment. My staff loves it because it is user-friendly. We purchased Compulink in 2006 and are currently using Version l0.6.0.12.  Meaningful Use requirements were met with ease using Compulink. Compulink's Customer Support is superb!

Our practice has been using Compulink Ophthalmology Advantage since 2006. We chose Compulink because of the ability to customize the software to fit our needs. The features of the electronic health records are very intuitive. The reports that it can generate to assess how our business is doing are at the touch of a button. Compulink is a valued partner in our organization and we would not be as successful without their product.

The practice I work for uses this product for e-medical records.

If you are starting out new, avoid this product.  If you work at an existing practice that has been using this product for a long time, do your best to learn it and do not feel bad if you feel bogged down by it.

Outdated software

Meaningful use is very complex, but Rachel explained it to me in a very helpful way and assisted me in meeting the new objectives for stage 2 meaningful use.  I can now report that I will met all the objectives for 2015 and I am able to track my progress every day.  Thank you Rachel Nelson!

I love this system for ophthalmology. Easy to use, seamless workflows, and built with business analogy.   This is great for a small doctor shop to a 50 provider clinic. This system is at least 10 years ahead of other EMR/ EHR vendors on technology. It's worth look at and defiantly worth you time.

Easy to use

Compulink is easy to use, updates are frequent and keep you up to date on changes with EHR technology and requirements.  Training is always available.  The best part of this software is their customer service. They are quick to return calls and go above and beyond to solve issues.

We have Compulink Ophthalmology Advantage EHR since 2005 and their practice management software since 2000. We are a three-person, single specialty group, with one office. We have been very happy with the ease of use and ability to customize. The support throughout the years has been top notch.

Overall the software is extremely outdated and not intuitive. Updates generally lead to lost days and interfere with patient care. The only positive has been the scheduler.

We are sorry you experience issues with our product, but are happy to hear that you recently purchase additional licenses for your growing practice and have updated to our latest release, Version 11.  This release includes many enhancements making it even easier to use.
