You can put in treatment, and send a preauthorization, but when it comes back, there's no way to communicate what the preestimate states except going to hunt for it and looking at a little note you put in yourself.

The Routing Panel is one of Ascend's best features.

Certain things are not as customizable as we would like ie: patient forms, text message communications

CBCT not included, redundant, changing providers, unable to select multiple things to change at a time.

Should have option for patients to automatically become inactive after "X" number of months have passed since last visit.

There could be better ability to input multiple family members with same email addresses.

The ability to delete any procedure (EVEN IF IT IS ON A PRE-D).

The accounting aspect was VERY difficult to learn.

Better communication among staff and between the office and patients over all our office has become much more efficient!

On the schedule if you accidentally click a random time slot it jumps to make an appointment.

Online scheduling never worked properly/ MANY ERRORS in scheduling/ double booking/ and we have now disabled.

So many things that I can say that I like lease about Dentrix the ledger and reporting we’re not my favorite in particular with the reporting it’s just not user-friendly they take forever to load, and the ledger itself is just not user-friendly because you do not allocate payments to any procedures, so you really don’t know what the money was for unless you make a note within the payment, which is kind of cumbersome

The most awesome thing about Dentrix that was super convenient was Dentrix ledger, it automatically calculates the insurance benefits and patient responsibility as well as patient bills.

The chart section is good because it allows you to see everything on one page.

previously globally updated components like DEXIS, now must be updated separately; tech support has degraded; is outsourced and there is a language barrier-30 minutes of formalities before the problem is addressed;  wait times are lengthy; tech reads manual on client time while client is holding; techs poorly trained and inexperienced.

Though I love that I can create note templates, it can be frustrating that you cannot go back when filling out a note template (when using the pop-up questions); sometimes as a busy provider, we forget to check a box or fill out something and having to manually enter it after the fact is annoying.

Reports take a long time to run and do not export to Excel.

There is nothing I did not dislike about Dentrix. When there is an update it is easy to still use and adjust with the changes.

Some staff required extra support to feel comfortable.
