But Dentrix is one that consistently delivers the depth and insights a marketing executive like me needs to grow a practice strategically and sustainably.

So many things that I can say that I like lease about Dentrix the ledger and reporting we’re not my favorite in particular with the reporting it’s just not user-friendly they take forever to load, and the ledger itself is just not user-friendly because you do not allocate payments to any procedures, so you really don’t know what the money was for unless you make a note within the payment, which is kind of cumbersome

The most awesome thing about Dentrix that was super convenient was Dentrix ledger, it automatically calculates the insurance benefits and patient responsibility as well as patient bills.

It’s not just software—it's a foundation that helps practices grow in ways that patients actually feel and appreciate.

previously globally updated components like DEXIS, now must be updated separately; tech support has degraded; is outsourced and there is a language barrier-30 minutes of formalities before the problem is addressed;  wait times are lengthy; tech reads manual on client time while client is holding; techs poorly trained and inexperienced.

Though I love that I can create note templates, it can be frustrating that you cannot go back when filling out a note template (when using the pop-up questions); sometimes as a busy provider, we forget to check a box or fill out something and having to manually enter it after the fact is annoying.

Reports take a long time to run and do not export to Excel.

There is nothing I did not dislike about Dentrix. When there is an update it is easy to still use and adjust with the changes.

Some staff required extra support to feel comfortable.

Dentrix was a good system for pre-pandemic, server based PM software for a single office. But now with multiple practices and working remotely, a cloud based system really is more realistic.

It is very user friendly .The financial tools are very beneficial as well.

I find that most features are intuitive to use and do not require extensive training. But, if you do need training, Dentrix customer service and website are helpful.

This software needs more checks and balances to make sure charting, notes, etc. are entered for office visits.

It is very expensive and there are cheaper options out there that do the same thing.

I have used this software for dental charting for 6 years now, and find that it is easy to navigate, easy for each member of the dental team to accomplish their goals and the workflow is streamlined well from front desk, to dental assistant, to hygienist, to dentist.

What I like least about this software is how occasionally when I am posting insurance payments into the patient ledger it will not let  me and say that the patients chart is pulled up on another workstation and that is not the case.

The reporting tools are sufficient but we consider to have another 3rd party vendor's Reporting tools to extract reports to meet all local, state, and federal health requirements.

Free software would have been a better use of time and for the money we could have taken a nice office week training in a nice tropical area.

I think we like the scheduling and charting features the most.

I feel as if it could be a little more customizable for the practice

They want to charge for every little thing and didn't tell me about extra charges until right before!

We have spent hours putting thousands of documents into the system, only to not have them convert????!!!! Why is this not included and why was I not told this in the beginning?????

I've added a stand up computer on the clinic floor because most entries are so quick, it's a waste of energy to sit down.

It has been very stable and is updated fairly regularly and in using it I have the impression that I am keeping up with all of the possibilities that technology offers in running my "specialty" dental practice which is limited solely to Skilled Nursing Facilities.  

The layout of the program is colorful and engaging.

I used to be able to categorize patients by SNF (skilled nursing facility) using a special field in the software.

I rate it a 8 of 10 because some of the chart features need to be updated AND management reports, and te patient schedule module needs more features.
