Very unpleasant overall experience!
overall creating office visit notes was easy
The only department which do a great job is marketing! They will promise you everything and theoretically sell you a great product! At least half of that is not true. Plus, To get an answer for any of your question/problems takes 1-2 weeks, even if you choose "emergency" option "cant take care of my patients".

We tried out two other EMRs before using Elation. Elation has been orders of magnitude better than the others. It's intuitive, easy to learn, the patient portal works well, and importantly our revenue jumped 30% after we started using it. I'm thrilled with all aspects of it and have been recommending it to every colleague who asks me which EMR to try. Fantastic product, great customer service. Can't recommend it highly enough!
The product has been great. As I said, I'm thrilled with what it does for us in terms of record keeping, scheduling, patient communication, and inter-office communication. There's nothing I've been disappointed with.

I scaled back my patients on the first day, but quickly learned that was unnecessary. I'm delighted with all aspects of the program, as is my office staff. After using paper charts for over 30 years I was apprehensive about the change. I could't be happier.

Nothing-This product was not able to perform the functions for a Specialty Clinic.
Be careful when you sign up for this product. I had a list of questions of what I needed in an EHR Software and was lied by the Implementation Team. The templates in the system are not customizable. They will try to tell you there is a way of creating Templates but it is impossible to create a unique note like an Operative Note. Other simple functions are not included in the system like creating Quick Texts or Private Messaging to Office Staff.

There are pros and cons with any PM/EHR system on the market today. There is no one perfect solution but NextGen has made great strides to begin listening to their clients and developing their product around client needs. This did not appear to be their methodology in previous years so this shift was most welcomed. The PM side of NextGen has been fairly strong from the beginning and has wide reporting capabilities. The core application side of the EHR is intact. The KBM side of the EHR still needs overhaul in some areas, but the current items in the works show the shift in the right direction.
Reporting
KBM for Behavioral Health is still way behind the current needs.

improving patient health outcomes electronically
The flow and how its starts upper left and works to the right and down, each tab is used per position
some buttons and functions that should be named consistently or work the same way but they don't and so it's confusing to new employees learning the software until they get used to it,

Only a great experience with this program!
NextGen offers all you would want in a health records online system! It allows the user and patients to track records effectively from new patient to ongoing and regular appointment setters. Appointments are shared via email, as well as updates to health notes, important news related to your health and a full onsite calendar to view future appointments and share medical needs.
Excellent! I love this system and have used this program personally via my Doctor as a health management portal. Health records and details are easily accessible and appointments can be regularly reviewed or rescheduled.

adapting to public health, customizable templates
Nextgen has allowed us to customize certain templates to adapt to our public health setting, which has been helpful.
Due to the unique nature of public health, we have run into some issues with reporting, interfaces, etc. but have either found work arounds or have had tech support

Electronic health records and practice management.
This software has the basic functionality to support a moderate sized clinic. I was able to customize it to meet many of our needs. It has interface capability with labs, eRX and more.
I am a consultant for various clinics with NG. One of the clinics I supported has had many problems with the stability of the product. Crashing of the system was a weekly event. NG support was unable to help solve the problem. It is also fairly outdated in my opinion.

I was able to get clinical certified through the UGM training.
Going paperless and not being able to file paperwork, but scan them. Very easily able to navigate and schedule .
That the software is not equally focused towards behavioral health and not having training that assists. Most ITs that we utilize are not familiar with behavioral health and most of the IT assistance is general and not behavioral.

I suggest increasing the number of clinics covered by insurance and allowing medicines to be included in health insurance because there are a number of medicines that are not covered by health insurance
The thing I liked the most is that the cost of visiting the doctor is very cheap, only 10% of the doctor’s fee, and the medicine is considered free
The least I didn't like was that only a few clinics offered this insurance

As described on prior page, it's an EHR. The configuration does not currently meet all of our needs, which at this time I am unsure if it's due to our configuration or the system.
It's an electronic record and saves time from paper processing. It serves the purpose of a certified electronic health record.
The way is manages the legal health record components and how it populates the information in the master IM .

More robust billing features available and they keep adding clinical content that assists us in providing exceptional care to our patients.
A bit slow and sometimes hard with larger organizations. Women's health templates need some work to work for us.

Practice wide, after hours and off-site access to clinical health records.
Ease of use. Overall, reasonably efficient software for clinical charting, E-prescribing, electronic ordering.

As a daily basis user, I like it's function and future diagnostic features. Which helps me to improve my skills.
As a medical practice student, I like this software because it helps me in many ways in my day to day life. It is quite easy to use and easy to access.
I think, there should be more resources and more and more information about future generation health system. That's all.

simple and modern format without being garish
that it is low maint on the IT side of things. updates are much simpler as well as any code or utility update
there are a few template sweets like behavioral health and pain management that are lacking and peds could be more modern

Very good and complete program.
I like the practical and integral of its functions, as well as the kindness it offers with its wide variety of medical specialties and its consulting services.
Only that it would be interesting to include nutrition in their medical specialties, since it is the basis of health.

Not a very good system, mediocre customer service.
Doctor is happy with the electronic health records but the administrative side is the worst I have ever used.
Very inflexible on the financial side. when a mistake is made, sometimes, there are many steps to correct the mistakes. For example, refunding a credit card payment, if a mistake is made is impossible. Applying payments is also very cumbersome. The worse thing is a receipt with all the charges can not be printed for a patient until the claim has been submitted to the ins and the patient's payment is applied.

It has a modern look and it allows for practice and even user customization. The team of customer service reps rocks!
Still catching up with bigger electronic health record providers. The medication module and drug interactions have a long way to go to be useful.

I have realized that i can easy access to my health records and test from the Dr and i love that.
I like how detail oriented this software is. Any issues that you may have or have had the dr. is able to use this software to report it too his patients. it even reminds you of upcoming appointments and i relly love that feature.
It is long and lengthy but that is ok because sometimes I may need long lol and lengthy. it is easy to get distracted if you have to read a lot of things.
