It would also be beneficial to have a "master appointment time" ability because there is no way to tell if a patient was rescheduled for an alternative time that week if it is their regular schedule or a short term change.

Practice Pro is one of the most expensive EMR systems when you add up the annual fees, $1 per visit charges plus $ per claim, $ per location.

The interface is perhaps more complicated than other EMR systems and you need ongoing training to maximize the features available - many that you won't use and others that take a long time to customize, however the reports and templates are very helpful.

We had Practice Pro when I came to work for my current practice- unfortunately the owner decided to switch to a new EMR and I fins myself constantly saying - well when we had Practice Pro we could do this but our new system doesn't allow for it.

Scheduling is easier than ever with so many built in tools from the scheduler than can help reduce potential mistakes or missed patients.  

It is difficult to add specific changes for the day, for example staffing changes or people who are out for the day.

The only changes that I don’t lie is that now the goals that are part of a report are in a different tab outside the report itself.

The snippets you can save and the templates you can create make documenting easier.

As a vestibular specialist, I need different tables and things than other traditional orthopedics PTs.

I have used other EHR systems and this is by far the best in regards to customization, ease of use on the therapist, and efficiency.

Physical Therapy documentation is so much different from physician offices.

There are so many reports and functions that it is very difficult to learn how to do everything correctly.  

I do miss the opportunity to speak to someone directly and promptly when an issue arrises.  

The scheduling and billing capabilities are great.

I used it to bill for a Physical Therapy practice and I did not like it at all, I actually quit doing the billing for this practice because they use this software and it is not efficient or user friendly.  

Overall it has helped our front desk be more efficient.

Having to click on many, many tabs is always cumbersome and makes even short notes feel like they take forever.

I dislike that for features that are common now, it is always an extra fee.

I love the large icons at the top of the page that make navigation between screens very easy as well as ability to access future appointment, appointments past, electronically attached files, and patient information.

Love the SOAP notes with exercise flowsheet on the same webpage so you don't have to open a new tab and toggle in between; love the ability to create your own templates for evaluations and SOAP notes; also love that the EMR works for different disciplines since we offer physical therapy, personal training, and massage therapy services - everyone can be on the same system!

Overall, Practice Pro has been an excellent way to document daily notes, progress reports, and evaluations.

Speech Pathologist 

The best feature is the editable copy forward, listing of the appointments of a day and use of dashboard to see number of documents to complete and submission of docs from that page.

For example, patient communications AND returning patient visits are both called “follow ups”, which has been confusing on multiple occasions.

The scheduling feature offers access at your finger tips via right click or left click!  

Building provider schedules is not as convenient as our last EMR but this is the ONLY area that is true.

The scheduling and billing features are the most impactful for my company.

Overall, the support is excellent and the product meets my needs.

The appointments page is easy to read and understand. When there are bugs, the Practice Pro team is available to fix it within a couple of days.

Would be helpful if under the quick add section you prompted to add the case info as well.

My staff who have used other systems find it the best compared to other systems!

Clinicians must be their own check & balance,  which should be a systems features (ie. when note is complete there's a color change from yellow, blue to green, stating 30% complete w/ note of what's needed.
