Despite the flaws it still makes my life much easier than if I didn't have it, so that is good enough for me.
The overall practice management is great. It allows me to run both the business and clinical sides of my practice in one cloud-based software package.
The lack of a secure messaging tool is a big hole in the product and one that I am surprised has not been fixed yet. Other tools have this, and hopefully they will add this soon. In their patient management system, there is only one email address that can be used on a record. As I work a lot with teens, I would love there to be a way to send email reminders to one email address for appointments or even to two simultaneously. I do my note taking within an appointment chart on my ipad, and compared to other applications the "sketch" pad in Jane is not that great. While in other apps, I can put my hand on the ipad while writing, in Jane it results in dots and lines being added all the time. Its more of a nuisance than a problem.

Overall a fantastic experience and platform that provides a lot of value for established practices.
The advanced functionality allowed for customization making it adaptable for my practice as well as use amongst different practitioners on the team.
For a new practice starting out, cost is a bit prohibitive.

Positive experience. Customer support usually gets back to me within a day or two.
Ease of use. All the templates. The ease of billing.
It is too expensive for me. I see 16pt per month in my practice, so do not qualify for the helper rate, but still can't justify the regular cost for that size of practice.

The check box features on charts saves LOTS of time! Jane app makes booking and scheduling appts easy. Also sends reminder emails. Great for charting with templates and storing pt information!

Jane is everything I need to run my Counselling practice.
Jane is the BEST thing I’ve ever done for my business. It is intuitive, easy, and the Jane team is constantly improving it. They are incredibly driven to make an amazing product. I could not possibly recommend it more highly.
I honestly have no complaints. It would be great if their family bookings were easier, but they are currently working on that!

Overall, the experience has been nothing short of outstanding. All of the practice needs are seamlessly integrated and the product have been a huge timesaver. Jane is leading the way in making practice management streamlined and user friendly.
Jane is easy to use, and there is a wealth of tutorials to help you learn the ins and outs of the system. For the most part, billing is a breeze and we can easily access patient files. The teleconferencing system makes interfacing with patients vert convenient. We are still learning all of the capabilities of the very versatile system. This is perfect for our small practice, but would also work for a larger one. The support team is outstanding and is always very positive, upbeat and ready to help. They are also very patient in helping clients learn the system and provide answers very quickly
The only thing I would change is to make it easier to send an invoice. It took a while to find the button to send invoices. It would help if that had a more prominent place. We are still working on creating the partient intake forms.

I love it so much! It's exactly what I need for my little practice!
I love how easy this software is to make appointments and chart for my patients! It is great to be able to look up other templates as well if I don't want to create my own note template! I love that the live chat is available for the first 30 days! I would be lost without it! It has helped me so much with little questions I have as I learn this software!
I only use this software on the weekends. I wish that I could view weekends only as opposed to only removing weekends from my view. I also wish I could see my month on the schedule so I would know what I have coming up for the month.

Absolutely great. I think it is one of the best programmed app.
Aside from having so many features which was a bit challenging to figure out, jane has everything a practice needs.
The fees are on the higher end compare to other apps.

It manages most of the administrative stress for my business, which made it less stressful to open and run my practice!

Great, I'm slowly learning. As my practice evolve I'll be able to speak more about my experience.
The support is amazing! All Jane representative I have spoke with we knowledgeable, friendly, supportive, and so useful! The platform looks professional and overall user friendly.
The French features. My practice is bilingual so I find it a little harder to navigate between the 2 languages.For example: I have chose my platform in English but I'd like to share etc "how to book an appointment" video to my English and French clientèle but didn't seem to be able to find the French version of it. I also teach yoga and workshops so I sell packages. At this time people who purchase packages can't sign up for more than 1 session. It simply adds up to the work "behind the scene". Just a constructive comments.

Pretty good overall. The staff is always friendly and can help eventually. Bookings and notes easy to do. Figuring some things on your own more difficult, getting a response by phone didn't happen multiple times, I'd eventually send an email get a response in a day or two which felt too long to wait.
Transferring from the clinic I left to my own practice with files was relatively easy. Maybe better from multidisciplinary clinic and multiple practitioners.
I thought it navigating to figure out things on your own is difficult, even with search bar as an option. Until you get used to it takes time to learn. After pandemic help time for questions took over a day to get a response and never got phone calls back, would have to email. Price very expensive, found out of other one that's half the price and as a website looks better.

What a strange time this has been! Half our practitioner community was shutting down and half were scrambling to figure out online services through telehealth. Jane has been a great software as a new practice. 90% of our needs have been met through Jane's ability to be customized. The look is sleek and simple. Flow is wonderful
Jane is not specialized. We need Soap note Macros, but Jane is not in that business. The have built out phrases to the best of their ability. They honestly go above and beyond considering the wide range of clients that they serve

Ease of implemation and use, excellent customer service, good value for investment.
It would be great to have a feature for practice consultation. I have a workaround for this, but would be ideal to have a way of entering the practice as something other than a new patient for invoicing purposes. I use Jane to book this into my schedule and invoice the practices I consult to.

I love the ease of scheduling and creating charting templates. I like the ability at a glance to look at income of my clinic.
I really need E-scribing in my medical practice. I would also like to see medications and allergies carry over into sequential visits.

Jane has been a great transition for my practice! I wish I would have done this much sooner. I would highly recommend it to my colleagues as well as other professionals looking for an EHR.
Cloud based, ease of use, integrated payments, price point is amazing, and customer service is top notch!
Patient notes take a lot longer than desired, Membership aren’t exactly able to function the way I need them to for my practice model.

Overall, change is always difficult. But, at least the Jane team makes it as stress-free as possible, and all of my expectations have been met.
Jane is constantly growing to add more features, and will continue to be something that helps to streamline daily practice and manage details over time.
Macros are one aspect that can be helpful with developing daily soap notes.

Frustrating.
If you are a low volume cash based practice, you don't plan on billing US insurance, then it's fine. If not, please take my advice and avoid Jane.
We are a small US based practice and bill Medicare (40%), some insurance (20%) and the rest cash. Initially I asked my billing service to take on Jane's Insurance billing, and after a week of them investigating the software and getting their questions answered by Jane support they opted out saying it was not capable of doing US Insurance billing in a timely & cost effective manner. Amazing customer service and easy to use. Wouldn't try anything else even though it's an expense every month.
Easy to use, all of my records, Billing, scheduling in one spot. Many patients tell me that using Jane on their end is very convenient and helpful as well.
Takes a little to get used to ...and I'm not thrilled that I'll have to pay more for another practitioner to use it when I expand my practice.

Overall pretty good, sometime video doesn’t work.
I like the quality of the video platform, it is much better the Jane. I also like how there are so many measures that can be sent to clients and how easy it was to create intake forms. Scheduling and finance section are also user friendly and help to keep track of payments. Lastly the stripe connection is great for accepting credit cards safely.
In Jane you can create surveys that get sent automatically to clients before their appt. due to COVID I send a screener form prior to the appointment. I wish Owl practice would find a way to send automatically like jane does to reduce my admin time.

I am switching to Jane. I have been trying to contact OWL for the past few days with some questions about making the change but I have not received a response! This is particulary disappointing when I have scheduled sessions and have very little flexibility in my schedule. Maddening!

The WORST part is that you have to email customer service - no phone number and the response time (if you get a response) greatly varies from one day to several. Did I mention that sometimes they don't respond at all. When I have spoken to a person they have been pleasant and helpful. Also it is WAY more expensive than Jane, especially when you add associates to your pracitce.

I find the format and features generally very easy to use, once the set-up is in place. The validated tools, secure messaging, and online booking are great aspects! Billing / receipting is easy, and tracking workflow is helpful. Help support people are responsive.
I would love to see the capacity to video sessions. Their pricing is quite a lot higher than other similar programs, particularly if you're a group practice, so had I known this prior to expanding, I would have gone with Jane. Facing transfering my clients over seems daunting at this point.

I love that this software was made specifically for my industry and is constantly evolving along side the needs of the community.
In comparison to other software, such as Jane, I find the overall look and feel of Owl to be lacking. I am also not particularly fond of the client portal which, despite having a number of wonderful features, is simply not as robust or eye-catching as some other programs. I know aesthetics are not everything but I think clients tend to drawn to things that look organized and easy to navigate.

Time is saved as a result of not having to use a separate invoicing system. I know my clinical records are secure and meeting CRPO and privacy laws. The messaging system gives me peace of mind as well. Online booking is a nice feature. Overall I am happy with the system. I have also never used another system so I have little to compare it to.
It is an easy and intuitive software to use. I enjoy how comprehensive the features are. The invoicing is super easy. I also really appreciate the client portal, appointment reminders etc as well as the clinical measures and use them alot.
The forms have been tricky to create and time-consuming, the clinical measures don't offer a means to interpret the score- I have to google this witch takes extra time. There isn't a group video option yet. What really got me was the increase in price when I upgraded to the package with the most features. The cost increased significantly which is more expensive than other software like Jane. I would love to see the Client Portal have more options to customize in terms of graphics and additional fonts and colours.

So far, so good. I understand that software needs to go through continuous improvements/enhancements (such as those stated in the 'Cons' section), but overall, we are happy with OWL.
1. Easy to keep the business centralized, and it automates what we other-wise would have to do manually. 2. Easy to use once you get used to it 3. Great customer support in answering queries
There's a couple of areas of improvement - specific functionalities that need to be improved: 1. the video feature is well behind other platforms, such as Zoom. This needs to be greatly improved.
