Some of the other platforms are somewhat less expensive but I am not sure it is worth the trade off because what you save in a few dollars less, you will spend in your time trying to customize your platform and fix your problems in ways that CounSol staff will help you with.

I looked at many programs and found Counsol to have the features I really wanted:  Integrated billing, patient appointment reminders, cost and HIPPA compliance.

The platform for video sessions does not allow people to log in from two separate locations.

Since internship, I have used CounSol for all my private practice admin needs - from keeping clinical notes, to having a secure portal to offer my clients, and now most recently, for billing purposes.  

The reports it can generate; efficient and fast customer service; appointment scheduling; houses billing needs and provides superbills to clients under their own portal.

Other platforms expect you to do-it-yourself in terms of creating the forms you want in your EHR.

So far, 5 years using Counsol I literally can't thinkg of anything. If I can't figure something out, [sensitive content hidden], my customer rep to walk me through whatever it is.

It has saved me immeasurable time to have a calendar that I can set up for them to make and change their sessions.

That the video software included does not allow for group sessions, with the technology available today I think this is a huge inconvenience and makes the software less functional for my practice needs.

The main payment option that Counsol uses is very shady and put unnecessary charges on my account and their customer service was less than stellar.

I also really like the option of being able to keep all of my communication with Clients through CounSol and that it is HIPAA secure.

Also, when there are multiple emails from a client and it is necessary to read more than one, the program does not highlight the last email read.

I like my clients receive reminders and I have reminders about treatment plans, etc.  

I can still submit claims but have to pay $35/month if more claims submitted to non-participating vs participating insurances.

I have a customer service person I can email at anytime that I am having an issue and have a question. When I first started, he was getting daily emails as I was learning the software.

Maybe be able to click on sxs or examples of progress and then add a related comment.

The portal is easy to use and directions are concise and direct with screenshots that provide visual aide to those who need it (me!).

I find it cumbersome to create the client forms, internal forms, printed assessments.

Clients can also securely journal between sessions, and video for sessions is dependable.

The notes feature has everything readily available at the click of a button.
