One of the least thing that I did not like was that it sometime duplicated the data and it was hard to merge patients.

Improving our quest to eliminate paper would be helpful, but the current "out-of-the-box" setup is not going to minimize this too much irrespective of the specialty.  

You can put the computer down, turn on the microphone, and focus 100% on the patient.

I paid a fee to get out of the contract early, and received very tense unprofessional conversations with the staff.

It is very robust. As we expand our clinical services, this is very helpful in terms of being customizable.

Their new Ambient Assist AI scribe makes documentation a no brainer.

I have used Next gen for 7 years overall and find it very usable, but at times inefficient for completing evaluations and exercise logs for PT patients.

Convoluted method of customisation, when they demonstrate it to you, it appears to be much easier but you are responsible for doing all the work and setting up.

I'm hopeful it is resolved with enough time for our clinic to review and prepare for submission date.

The Patient Portal is terribly unfriendly to the patients and staff alike.

Nextgen was a slow system it seemed old and it needed to be revamped.

Exercise log completion is tedious and takes too long relative to other sections of notes.

We struggle to understand why NGO doesn't invest time into pushing this more open, but the "preferred partners" have access.  

I like the user experience, the customer support, and our account rep's knowledge and helpfulness.

New patient. When adding a new patient, if they have a family member already registered with the same insurance, it forces you to  use the existing profile and this doesn't always work so you are forced to start over.

The quality of your notes will likely decrease.

There are much better systems out there for much cheaper cost.

It has billing and has support for medicare and medicaid.

The only reason for this program to exist is affordability.

Most of our issues were left without a resolution.

One of my favorite features is how you can set access and abilities for each user and their specific role/responsibilities.

The customer service was extremely difficult to work with.

Then support (like all other support departments) move on because the problem is "fixed".  

Medical staff and providers also have to be retrained to get familiar with the new features / options.

Our team loves it, but it can be a deterrent for some.  PM-wise, the platform is simple to use.

The program is starting to feel a bit outdated in comparison to other programs used.

NGO reporting is great if you like and familiar with Excel.  

We left them the second our contract was up.

We had a responsive customer service experience.

The excessive tabs, scrolling, and button-clicking in the system's layout design are inefficient and don't optimize screen space.
