Practice Pro is one of the most expensive EMR systems when you add up the annual fees, $1 per visit charges plus $ per claim, $ per location.

The interface is perhaps more complicated than other EMR systems and you need ongoing training to maximize the features available - many that you won't use and others that take a long time to customize, however the reports and templates are very helpful.

We had Practice Pro when I came to work for my current practice- unfortunately the owner decided to switch to a new EMR and I fins myself constantly saying - well when we had Practice Pro we could do this but our new system doesn't allow for it.

I can see what visits have been billed under the patient screen as well as in reports. If you call customer service they will walk you through your issue.

I used it to bill for a Physical Therapy practice and I did not like it at all, I actually quit doing the billing for this practice because they use this software and it is not efficient or user friendly.

Scheduling is easier than ever with so many built in tools from the scheduler than can help reduce potential mistakes or missed patients.

Having to click on many, many tabs is always cumbersome and makes even short notes feel like they take forever.

It is difficult to add specific changes for the day, for example staffing changes or people who are out for the day.

The only changes that I don’t lie is that now the goals that are part of a report are in a different tab outside the report itself.

Overall, Practice Pro has been an excellent way to document daily notes, progress reports, and evaluations.

For example, patient communications AND returning patient visits are both called “follow ups”, which has been confusing on multiple occasions.

The snippets you can save and the templates you can create make documenting easier.

Virtually everything automatically saves, there is a wide set of features and reports (tons of reports).

The scheduling feature offers access at your finger tips via right click or left click!  

Building provider schedules is not as convenient as our last EMR but this is the ONLY area that is true.

I also dislike that for things like auto eligibility checks, I still have to contract with a third party.

The scheduling and billing features are the most impactful for my company.  

Many times when we submit a support ticket the problem is already know to tech support and being worked.

The appointments page is easy to read and understand. When there are bugs, the Practice Pro team is available to fix it within a couple of days.

I have used other EHR systems and this is by far the best in regards to customization, ease of use on the therapist, and efficiency.

Calls are rarely returned and if they are it is days later.

There are so many reports and functions that it is very difficult to learn how to do everything correctly.

I have had a great experience using Practice Pro who also provide easily accessible customer support.

It seems like different teams have developed these features and they don’t communicate well.

I am also able to edit this after it has been run.

Overall it has helped our front desk be more efficient.
