Once I spoke with a customer service person, she showed me everything I need to know and it is excellent software
It makes sending intake documents a breeze! I love that I can keep all of my client files in a HIPAA secure platform. It also sends automatic reminders to my clients! And I was able to sync my SimplePractice calendar with my google calendar so I see all my appointments on my phone—plus, it uses my clients’ initials to keep them safe.
It seems a little complicated at first, but after a tour was simple to use

Simple practice is the best program I have used to submit Insurance claims. It is very secure and HIPAA compliant.
The scheduling process has been very frustrating for several of my clients. It has been especially frustrating for my technologically challenged clients.

I was doing handwritten notes for my small practice and found myself putting off formalizing those notes. With Simple Practice it’s so easy to create a new progress note in the same day as the session. The ability to pull of previous progress notes and edit them for the current session is an absolute time saver and allowed me to becoe caught up on my notes.
The ability to quickly enter progress notes and to customize forms and documents
Not being able to email clients without sending a document/form and clients not being able to reply to my email.

I am able to send reminders track payments keep notes and utilize telehealth
The software is easy to learn and has lots of supportive features. I can tell I will be able to grow my business with this software.
There are forms I complete I would like to make available to my clients.

I like that there were forms readily available. But I found it difficult to edit and options for editing very limited.
The software is not flexible for my needs for different clients- ages 6-23

Everything is simplified and has made running my practice easy and efficient. Everything that I need is in one place and once you learn how to bill/create invoices, utilize reports, use scheduling calendar, and being able to accept payments from clients has also been a plus!
Not understanding the comments/reasons listed on a claim form, when it has been returned. I’ve had this issue before, but I’ve been able to receive assistance from a representative each time to assist me.

SimplePractice has made going into private practice achievable. I cannot imagine taking this step professionally without having access to this kind of note-keeping and billing software.
After working for community mental health/social service agencies where the most up to date software was clunky and time-consuming, SimplePractice feels like a much more user friendly service. I really appreciate all of the video tutorials that are available for me to access on my own time and to teach myself how to use this software.
I recently switched over to my own account after being a user on my supervisors account and it was a bit of a challenge to export all of my own clients from her account. There didn't appear to be a way to export my client data without either exporting all of hers and/or exporting my clients one by one. In the future, it would be helpful to users if their assigned clients could be selected and exported in one go.

I could not have converted an entire caseload to telehealth, amid a pandemic. From virtual documentation to contactless payments, I am so grateful!
The most impactful features Simple Practice offer include the streamlined consent forms, a reliable telehealth platform, the vast forms library, and the ease in which I can add clients. The product is amazingly easy to use! Integration was simple for the 20 plus clients I front-loaded.
I have struggled most with billing—getting cards to not charge for missed appointments. Reminders have occasionally caught me off guard—either they went out too many times or not enough.

Huge relief in time and easing up the burden of managing all the little pieces of my work.
Allll the functions and features I was trying to piecemeal together are in one easy-to-use place!!!
The price - a bit high for starting out my therapy practice, and I feel vulnerable - that they might raise the price and also that the data will be unsafe somehow for my clients. Also I feel like I want all my clients visible on the left side of my screen - able to scroll through vs. just who i've looked at most recently.

I won’t need to have any physical files which is a huge plus! I can access my clients from my phone on the Simple Practice app! This morning I was alerted that I didn’t complete a note for a client I saw yesterday and It literally took me 30 seconds to write one in right then and there. Genius!!
I’m new to Private practice and Simple Practice has made the transition into PP so streamlined. Everything I need for each of my clients is in this portal. No more typing and printing out notes and carrying around files that need to be locked!!
I made sure to practice the site before getting my first client. There’s still so much to learn.

The notes section is simple and I love that. Documents ready to send to clients and the ability to go paperless is great. I was looking, first and foremost, for a program that allows clients to schedule themselves and Simple Practice makes this fairly easy.
The ability of clients to schedule their own appointments. Billing all in one place.
Transferring clients from my old program was tedious although I did not access customer support to assist in this.

I want to be HIPAA compliant in my new practice and SimplePractice made it so easy to make my new practice compliant. I am also extremely happy that I can start my new practice totally paperless because SimplePractice allows me to send all my forms electronically to my clients.
My therapy practice is part of a larger, established practice and I needed to accept payment from my clients through a different platform than what SimplePractice offers.

I really love the ease of completing client documents and the ease of changing or creating my own documents and case note templates. Simple Practice has a wonderful selection of ready to use documents that can be adapted to meet my needs in my private practice. I also loved the process of bringing my data from my previous EHR program. Simple Practice is just what it claims to be-SIMPLE!
I wish the calendar was easier to work with, especially for adding my available spots for clients to see online.

I just stated using SimplePractice for my small private practice that I started. I really like the ease of being able to see my appointments on the calendar, and being able to click right on the appointment to create the note. I also really like that SimplePractice keeps track of billing, for instance if a client does not pay me the co-pay at the session. I also like that SimplePractice offered me tech support right away and was happy to set up a phone call with them for extra support.
I like the e-mails with the schedule, but since I am only meeting with clients two days a week I would prefer to get the schedule e-mails only when I have clients in my schedule.

Streamlined organization of my practice
I love the notes, the treatment plans and the calendar it all keeps me organized. It provides everything that I need to do my job effectively. I can spend more time caring for my clients instead of worrying about the paperwork that follows.
I would like to know how to customize the intake template so I can put my information in and the correct date since my clients will be signing it,

Basically I can do all (I mean ALL) my practice work on my phone with this. So I can work and be productive anywhere. Little tutorials all over site. Really liking how user friendly it is. Best part is client reminders by text and client portal to make appts. Clients think I am more organized now. Anything that simplifies my life is a plus!

Overall this is great and easy to use software for anyone with a small/medium size mental healthcare practice.
This was very easy to get setup and integrate with our existing website platform and has simplified the process of booking and billing for my client.
This is very industry specific so I wouldn't recommend it for all my clients due to some limitations with types of appointments.

Efficiency in streamlining my communication with my clients.
I am moving from paper to EHR and I took time to research a platform that would suite my solo practice. After researching, reading reviews and tinkering a bit through the trial, I decided to subscribe and I am looking forward to saving time and building efficiency in my practice.
It does take time to invest in learning how to utilize its features to maximize it's usefulness, but the investment will be worth it in the long run.

I value the organisation and ease of charting. I prefer software based record keeping and billing. I have used multiple systems, both in mental health and in medicine. This system is easy, user friendly and simple enough so not only can I learn it fast, but others who do not prefer software driven record keeping can learn it sufficiently to use it.
I personally like the ease of moving from one section to another. This allows me to jump back and forth in a non linear manner, which is how I think. In addition I like the reminders, it helps keep me on track in a timely manner,
I am still struggling locating and editing some of the paperwork that I send to my clients, such as editing system generated intakes. This is likely part of my particular learning curve.

I like how easy it is to see all my client progress notes, demographics, treatment plans, and billing info all in one secure online platform. Being able to bill directly to insurance companies and to track payments is the main reason that I signed up for the service. Plus the ability for clients to sign forms online is a real benefit.
I hope that in the future Simple Practice will update it's mobile app to include customized progress note templates, treatment plans, and contact notes. In addition, it would be great to be able to bill for a home visit with one click that would populate the client's address in the CMS 1500 form.

I recently switch to SimplePractice from another EMR. I was concerned at first that the price was too good to be true, but switching to SimplePractice has been one of the best business decisions I’ve made so far. I would definitely recommend SimplePractice to other SLPs starting their own private practices!
The price is the best part! Plus, it has many of the features I need to efficiently run my private speech therapy practice!
One of the only downsides I’ve found so far is that I can’t fax or receive documents directly to SimplePractice.
