On average when we email the support line it is a 5-7 day response time and then if we get a response it is barely helpful, and the thread is dropped by the support team, with no proper answers or follow up.

Pretty pictures with views of the water, pavement, trees, picnic tables, water faucet, campers, and motorhomes.

I did not find the ability to Access payment information, including guest name, amount, unit #, dates and status of completion of payment, for each payment made, in csv format, for import into QuickBooks, within Campspot's program.

The price goes up every year and the customer service (which we really need only a few times/year) has declined completely.

We don't need that much customer service as we are quite familiar with the software, so feel we don't ask for much so it is disappointing and unsettling.

Would like to be able to alter some features to support our cancellation policies with regard to weekly and monthly rentals; would like to be able to create our own reports.

We pay thousands/year for this software and the value is no longer there for us with this lack of support.

The price of Campspot keeps going up but the value keeps going down.

We even had the internet provider come out and check our system which was fine.   After we gave notice we were moving to another company they decided we really were having issues they needed to address.    But it was too little to late (about a year).

Simple interface that allows easy management and modification of reservations.  

It takes a bit of learning and can be difficult to set up on your own without doing quite a bit of digging/learning.

What wasn't provided, we were able to work out through combining multiple reports

The speed and the way it recalculated the rates unasked.

Administration is a breeze whether it's editing reservations or customer profiles, adding additional amenities or sites, uploading new site rates, or changing rules.  

Additionally, for a campground reservation system to not have a helpline, or anyone answering the phones, especially during peak check-in hours is absurd. If there was a better software solution out there, we would jump ship in a heartbeat.

There are so many reservation software options out there and you can't make everyone happy but I have no plan to switch!

Camp Host

I wish there was a way to merge customers who have several accounts (most of the time this is easy to do, but for some who have used different modes to sign up there is no way to merge their accounts.)

Park Safety Staff

The software can sometimes be buggy when it comes to billing and invoicing but rarley does it require customer support from Campspot.

The zip code finder and I honestly can’t think of anything else.

All of the features are easy to use and support is always either already provided for a phone call away.

They are always promising the on boarding of more customer service staff, and they are always taking several days (sometimes weeks) to return our calls.

They also seem to be constantly improving and adding more features.

From ease of online booking, to reservation management, add-ons (golf carts, packages, etc) campspot is overall a great system to use.

I like the way the system is easy to learn and operate.

I think that the reservation cancellation process is confusing in terms of how to return money to customers.

Campspot provides a platform to effectively and efficiently manage our campground.

I had excellent assistance during conversion and the database from my old system was easily brought into Campspot.

We can't add a Customer Profile manually. Because we cannot enter additional guest information into the Reservation, it was suggested that we use one of the user-defined fields to capture this.

We use the housekeeping feature and it has been great for availability for guests.

I have been very pleased with the communication from Campspot.

Our overall experience with Campspot is not a positive one. While there are a few shining stars at campspot… extremely knowledgeable and helpful individuals ([sensitive content hidden], etc.), generally speaking, we are frustrated with Campspot on a regular basis.

They can't charge to a site because they weren't the primary person who made the reservation, don't have a Customer Profile, and don't have a Credit Card on file.

Campspot has many great features that help our campground out.

After one season with them they announced we'd have to pay $100 a month in addition to the service fees we agreed to originally. For Campspot to take our time and energy knowing they would be charging this fee to a small campground less than a year later was unethical.

I use campspot on a daily basis at our campground.

We cannot add more than one guest to a reservation without using user-defined fields within the Reservation.

We're now looking at the upcoming season with no idea what we're going to do for handling our bookings being charged the same amount as a massive RV Park thats open 12 months of the year.

We have increased with online bookings, and utilizing the deposit required feature for bookings, have drastically cut down on no-shows and lost revenue.

After using several systems over the last 10 years, campspot has some of my favourite features, the grid style layout makes for a clear visibility of the calendar and reservations, using colour schemes for ease of use, the dynamic pricing option is fantastic and becoming more common within the industry, the grid / calendar optimisation is great for ensuring your park is full, also the support time are fantastic and quick to respond.
