Pros

A friend who had been in the hotel industry for many years recommended that we incorporate this software to help manage our online reservations. It was one of the best decisions we have made.
After using the software for just over 2 years now I am still very happy with Little Hotelier - we are a basic room only 2* hotel and the software is perfect for us.
The integration and change was so simple and the support from Little Hotelier was amazing. The Reports section is so helpful with the day to day accounting.

Pros

The ResNexus team is very responsive and accessible. They are always improving their services to give the best product and support to their clients.
The reporting is a fantastic help to our business - keeping us on track and informed - granting some peace of mind during COVID-19.
The ease of use, the customer service to switch us from our old PMS was great, the daily use of is very easy and the continuing updating and listening to hoteliers of what we need is top notch.

Cons

Since the updates, it lags when you try to drag a booking between rooms/ beds and it also refreshes every time you try to do something which is very frustrating.
Initially it was horrible and we began looking for alternatives.
We experienced double bookings due to glitching of the channel manager and booking engine. Technical support failed to take responsibility, simply blaming the OTAs.

Cons

I then phone the platform and it always turns out it was not there fault. Then I phoned resnexus back and eventually they are forced to admit they are making the mistake.
There are no features that I dislike. It was relatively easy to integrate other booking platforms, i.e., booking.com and authorize to connect with InnPayment.
I cannot think of anything that I am unhappy with right now.

Little Hotelier does not live up to the marketing promises.

I quit using Little Hotelier and went back to ResNexus. THe over all experience was frustrating and the worst software I have ever used.

Pros

I liked the ready hover access to info on clients in the Front desk version, as well as the fact that Site-minder came with the cost of the product. Also, the sales person was very helpful, I wish she was the tech-support or training person.

Cons

This was too hard to implement correctly, and too error prone. It needed a process "Step one", but that was missing. I set everything up in the Booking Engine first without realizing that the information in the booking engine is only what clients see online, not what is happening on the back end. I ended up deleting hours of work and starting over several times. there are videos and good instructions -- but never does it say -- do this first. Training never told me this. Tech support did, but only after I was integrated with Site-minder (another big project). The entire experience was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had -- further more, when I wanted to stop using the product I still had to pay for 3 months to fulfill a contract.

Small Inn that gets big bang from ResNexus

I came from a different Inn that was using Little Hotelier. I much prefer ResNexus and I was able to self-teach myself how to work with it.

Pros

To date, my best experience with ResNexus has been the support from [sensitive content hidden] . He has made all the difference in how I feel about ResNexus. I feel like I gained a coworker who is focuses on my success. It's been invaluable.

Cons

I wish ResNexus could find a way to auto refund for cancellations (when applicable) rather than me having to do it manually. I do have issues with split reservations still coming from booking.com too.

Easy to Use, Visually Awesome, Great Customer Service

Perfect software for what we do at our little resort. A partner larger hotel also uses and finds it as wonderful!

Pros

So helpful with setting up, day to day issues (which are usually user error, not the software), and love the features. Not only is the software amazing, they helped us create a website. Rep., who started our website and guided me through how to use it and maintain it, exceeded my expectations. Rep. who presented the software and held my hand through set up was incredibly accommodating, kind and just a fun person to talk with. I recommended this product to another hotel in town and they are now using it too!

Cons

I haven't' found any, although I'm still in my first 6 months of use.

Pros

ResNexus is like having an extra employee or two!! I use ResNexus for marketing, booking, and website. The product and service are amazing!!

I wish that it could be integrated with my current lock system.

We really like the format our guests see for the website. The Customer Support is fantastic!!! I need to submit requests for reports and some of the processes could be a little more intuitive like upgrading a room, or how to combine reservations under one billing, etc.

Pros

I love the ease of use and the support. They are also always updating and adding products/services to increase revenue.

Cons

Pros

It is cloud based and very easy to use, it has a retail portion so it really is a 2 for 1.

Cons

Some features are hard to find, just takes a little time if you don't use them everyday.

The team at ResNexus has been wonderful to work with. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been so helpful during the whole setup process. She made the software that much easier to understand.

Pros

The ease of use. We looked at several different software's and this was the most straight forward. I like the "help" section on the right side of the page you are working on. The videos are most informative.

Cons

The section for creating your own emails is a little hard to understand, otherwise no real dislikes.

ResNexus Saves The Day

Taking over a BnB that was operating in the stone ages of paper and pencil was no walk in the park. However, ResNexus took much of the pain out of the process and provided the much needed structure to get us organized. The ResNexus reservation system integrated seamlessly with our website and card processing. Their training was top notch. We were up and running in no time. It was just what we needed during a stressful transition.

Pros

ResNexus provides tools that allow you to effectively manage all aspects of a hotel/inn/BnB/guest house. It's the perfect product for a small business. It allows you to manage front desk, housekeeping, sales and reporting activities with a single application. The "at-a-glance" dashboard/grid is our bible. It gives us a quick summary of what is happening that day/week/month/year...

Cons

Adding additional days/nights or retail items to an existing booking/reservation seems to be a little cumbersome at times.

I think their excellent level support is the most important thing. They knock that out of the park. They are also always working on upgrading and improving the software.

Pros

The company support both in the deployment process and ongoing - day to day - is exceptional.

Cons

The ongoing fees for some of the optional add on features such as door codes and texting seem a little overpriced to me.

Great Product

We have been using ResNexus as our PMS at our resort property for just under a year. It comes loaded with features and is very easy to customize for your property. Teaching new reservations agents how to use the system is also very simple as the system itself is incredibly user-friendly.

Integration with MyAllocator allows auto-population from OTAs - we don't have to worry about constantly adjusting availability anymore. Very user friendly It has helped us increase retail item and activities sales thanks to the add on pages on the booking engine that inspire impulse buys. Accessible from desktop or mobile thanks to browser based system.

Cons

Cancellation fees don't auto-adjust depending on your property's cancellation policy. This is something that you have to add a retail item in for. Customizable email confirmations can still use a little work.

This is by far the best reservation software that I have used!

Pros

The thing that I like most about ResNexus is all the new updates and new features that are constantly being added to the system.

Cons

I think that the interface can be a little confusing for some people when you are setting up the system for use, but on the other hand the ResNexus team is also very helpful in that aspect.

Great Help and Support

Each and every agent I have called upon for support has been over the top in the support department.

Pros

I did not attend a class to help with the transition. I relied on the phone support to ease into the software use. The Resnexus team has always been helpful in this manner.

Cons

I cannot think of anything that I am unhappy with right now. The transition gave me a little grief, but with help from the Resnexus team, it was not too bad to change over. I am happy with the company overall.

ResNexus easily automates 90% of Rental workflows

I was satisfied using it and setting it up for an Airbnb location that had multiple suites. It was great for piggybacking other management consoles and adding simple service & add on packages.

Pros

I like how easy it is to set up 90% of the workflows, tasks and objectives for a rental business. It makes it easy to craft a workflow that you can deploy and teach employees how to use. It makes for good management resource.

Cons

I was a little frustrated with how difficult it can be to customize the parameters for unique pricing, upsell or compounded services. You can easily add packages to rooms but multiple options for service upgrades was hard unless it was exactly how Resnexus thought you should run your business.

Kickstart RV Software

Building a new RV Park and choosing the best possible online solution was imperative. We selected Resnexus based on their feature rich software, competitive pricing, and responsive customer service. Our visit to Resnexus in Salem, Utah was the clincher. We had worried about marketing and building the business but thanks to the power of a Resnexus web site linked to Resnexus hospitality software we spent very little on marketing. We discovered that most guests found us on Google and quickly were linked to our web site and other contact information. Couldn't have imagined a better first year to our RV Park thanks to Resnexus.

Pros

During season I use the software many times daily to assist guests with registration, changes, cancellations and refunds. All of this can be done quickly using the grid and other easy to access screens. I love being able to use my phone or computer to give me full access to features. I literally take the office with me wherever I am.

Cons

We were a new startup and developing our web site to interface seamlessly with Resnexus was the biggest challenge.

Best software for our B&B needs!

Without a doubt, the customer service alone is worth the price of this product. You are assigned a designated agent to help you and there is an emergency contact if needed as well. The training is very thorough and clear. While the software itself is great for our needs, the customer service is the main reason we will not switch anytime soon.

Pros

Resnexus is very easy to customize and set up. We are able to update pricing, minimum stays and information at any time. The customer service is top notch and I love the online tutorials and videos for learning about new features.

Cons

The website information can be a little overwhelming and cumbersome for someone like me who isn’t great at it, but with the help of our designated agent or online tutorials, I can usually figure it out. I think it’s a great program for people who don’t know how to build their own internet products!

Expensive, but among the most flexible of booking engines for our type of bed and breakfast.

It has been a bit difficult to connect with a rep there who is consistently assigned to our business. Also, Resnexus is more expensive than many of the other booking sites, especially because we have only 5 guest rooms and their price structure is too high for a small inn like ours. They are pretty much inflexible about giving a business like ours a discount for a major loss of business during the Covid pandemic. Also, when we felt they made an error and allowed a customer to book a shorter stay when we had a 3 night minimum they refused to acknowledge any responsibility or to give us any discount for the revenue we lost.

Pros

We have stayed with Resnexus now for the full 11+ years we have been in business because theirs was the only software that offerred all the features and flexibility we needed -- like being able to customize rates for different rooms for special event periods, number of guests, special discounts, pets etc. We could show the customer exactly what they needed to know, or we could adapt each booking to be exactly what we wanted.

Cons

You pretty much have to customize one room at a time each time you want to make a change. It is not easy to make a change in one room and have it apply to some or all of the others simultaneously. A little bit time consuming to do the set-up for multiple and future periods of time, that might all be the same if there was an "apply to all rooms" button.

Easy to Use and Fantastic Customer Support

Overall, we are extremely pleased with the software and are encouraged by their constant attention to improvement.

Pros

This reservation system is so easy to use, graphically clear, and powerful. I have trained at least 10 not very technical people on this system and they have all been able to pick it up quite well very quickly. The reporting is a fantastic help to our business - keeping us on track and informed - granting some peace of mind during COVID-19. The support staff is unbelievable - they are the most responsive, cheerful people I have ever worked with on tech issues.

Cons

I wish you could put in a 6 month reservation all at once, and have it just repeat each month individually instead of showing the whole stay on the sites/nights. This works well when you click an open-ended monthly reservation, but if there is a defined end date, it all shows up together. Appreciate that you put little "Ps" on partial payments - this helps us track down people who aren't paid in full - maybe make these a light green or light gray?

I was late to the Online Reservation System craze. When I finally got onboard it was eye opening what I had been missing in ease of use and increased Revenue. The system has improved over the years and features have been added. I admit I do not use all the features there ARE. If you are a tech person you will love it. The rest of us are perhaps not as enthusiastic. I'll confess I come grudgingly to 'tech' as a big part of a hand's on business, even though I am aided by it.

Pros

It's very helpful for overseas customers to be able to book and get a confirmation. It's increased that segment of my business 100%. Also, I am able to take Reservations 24/7. Another big factor. There are very few overbooking incidents. And generally, the system operates without hiccups

Cons

The costs are becoming a problem. With all the other places a business must advertise and be 'found on the web', the bottom line 'costs' are creeping up there. I can't raise my rates (as a percentage), as much as my subscription has gone up. For a seasonal business this such as mine, it gets harder, every year. Seems like I make a little more, then my costs eat it up. A conundrum for smaller properties. AND those of us in 'out of the way' places. I have both those issues.
