Ease of use is incredibly high. Tech-first approach to an old problem - HR paperwork and IRS issues with payroll. Great customer support.
Costs few $/mo for a small company while Rippling Labs now does the same thing for free. I would not have left Gusto without the presence of Rippling.

Gusto is such a fantastic HR app! It's so well-designed and focused on providing everything you need to manage your HR needs. I love how easy it is to navigate and find everything you need without feeling overwhelmed by too many features or information. Unlike other apps like Rippling, which can be a bit buggy and cluttered, Gusto keeps things clean and simple. It's perfect for managing everything from payroll to employee management and compliance.
The interface can be a little slow at times, but it has gotten much better over time. Other than that, I don't have much to complain.

I believe that Rippling does a great job of solving the problem of scalable payroll management that caters to each employee. I love that I get emails on my payday and that I also get the option to display my pay amount right in the email!
Previously, my employer used a different payroll software called, Gusto. I had a difficult time logging into Gusto, but Rippling makes it easy to login securely and I can even download a PDF of my paystub! I also love the user interface of Rippling!
I had no qualms with the software, but I only used it for a few months while I was contracted for an internship.

I think Rippling stands out a the best tool especially for Startups compared to Justworks and Gusto!!
I have been in a number of Startup companies that have used products from Justworks to Gusto. But Rippling usage is extremely simple to use
I wish the UI page was customizable to view one page at the beggining of login.

Integration was a breeze and it did everything Gusto (our previous HR software) did but better
On occasion the menus could make it a little clearer how to access certain features

The product and features are easy to use especially when onboarding and enrolling into plans. Helpful tooltips add valuable information.
I haven't found a downside to using Rippling when compared to Gusto, but Cloverleaf just starting using Rippling.

better than Gusto and TriNet for sure, seems better than Justworks as well, very smooth and easy, didn't need any help from administrators
The user interface is clear and efficient.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Rippling offers the best and most comprehensive service at the lowest price. I've used Zenefits, Gusto, ADP, and others, and Rippling really is the best so far.
The software is 90% there on helping set up payroll in other states. I think the real issues lays with the actual state agencies and how difficult it is to set up payroll there as an out of state entity, but Rippling could make it slightly easier with more content letting users know what to do.

I am a happy customer of Rippling. I strongly prefer Rippling to Gusto and ADP, both of which I have used in the past.
Rippling has an intuitive user interface and extensive options for integrations. It saves employers and employees time and headache for all things related to HR, Payroll, and Benefits.
Navigation to integrated apps could be more intuitive. I would like to see more functionality for the "To-Do" list.

Works as intended and doesn't cause headaches from relatively new users' perspective
- Super easy to use and intuitive - Enjoy the design style - Nice emails for Payday - Enjoyed the detailed breakdown of paychecks
Nothing major but switching over from Gusto to Rippling was a bit of a rough process (took longer than expected for vacation hours to show up)

Great! The software was just as easy to use as some of the other online platforms (ie. Gusto), but has allowed us some additional functionality and time savings.
How easy it is to use. We have payroll runs with ever changing deductions and having the ability to manage/adjust non-recurring deductions in one table view has been a giant time saver. The product also makes one-off/non-traditional payroll runs extremely easy and the step by step guide ensures they are run accurately and with the appropriate taxes.
Occasionally support response can be delayed. However, this has only ever happened when we have questions regarding abnormal or complex transactions (ie. certain tax treatment on non-cash equity compensation transactions)

Generally very straightforward, no frills, which is nice.
HR resources are pretty easy accessible. Time tracking is frustrating and sometimes redundant. I loved using Gusto before this, but doesn't have all the same abilities as Rippling does.
Unengaging design/UI, sometimes hard to find what you need.

We were using gusto before and it just didn't have what we were looking for so we switched over and all the employees have been happy with it since the switch.
I enjoyed how minimalistic it was but also the amount of features it had. I was able to easily print out my pay stubs and look up any tax information I needed come tax season. When you get paid they send you a nice breakdown of your hours with a cool picture which is different everytime. Small stuff but It makes a difference.
No real cons for me. Everything is easy to find and use.

We had come over from Gusto because of a better pricing structure and stayed because of how elaborate the software is. Love the customer support team, they're very swift in answering any HR related (and tech support) questions.
Customer support is really swift and helpful. Pricing is also very simple. Love the integration with so many other apps (including insurance etc)
Logging into the app takes a bit of time to load, but nothing that affects functionality.

My job recently switched to Rippling from Gusto, and although I love Gusto, Rippling was a really nice surprise! You get emailed when you're paid, like Gusto, but it tells you the details in the email body moreso. The interface is also super easy to use. I like that there is an "advice of deposit" embedded in the webpage so that you don't have to download a PDF to see the details. It's great to have the crucial details like net pay and pay period upfront. There's also a neat bar that shows how much went to taxes and how much went to you. The drawings are super cute too and lift my mood. Another nice thing is you can easily change your tax status on Rippling, so it feels very integrated.
I don't love the paystub pdf look. It has a giant "THIS IS NOT A CHECK" watermark, and overall looks a little unprofessional. Makes me a bit nervous when I have to submit paystubs to anyone as proof of income, and I worry they won't believe me. I felt Gusto's PDFs were way more professional and legit.

would recommend to anyone vs gusto or zenefits(which has awful customer service) - you speak to someone you get an answer vs. other programs which reroute you to someone new who has no idea about your problem.
customer service is top notch with rapid responses to questions. can link up to other apps very easily which is fantastic.
would love to incorporate PTO into a team calendar in the site
Hey, thanks for your feedback! You actually can customize and share your PTO into a team calendar. See https://help.rippling.com/pto/calendar/. If you have any questions, just reach out to our support team.

The rollout process has been extremely smooth and easy. I love that everything is centralized and I can see all my important information in one place.
I love that all HR & IT functions are in one place. Prior to Rippling, I had to use three or four different services and remember which one was which. Specifically, our company previously used Gusto, Fleetsmith, Pingboard, and Zenefits, but now all those functions are in Rippling. Rippling has simplified my life tremendously and now I know exactly where to go instead of having to struggle to remember which service did what.
No cons to speak of as an end user. Sometimes I have to have our IT director complete tasks for me, but that maybe a feature.

Experience is superb; no problems & loving it all
Now rippling is a wonderful app. They are easy & convenient to use. I love how they are capable on the computer & an app. I love how all of my information is easily accessible. Payroll is a breeze to look at & pull up my information when ever I need to do so as well! Customer service is on point & super helpful. I’d say this is the best app I’ve used, better than gusto!
Seems to need one of them Google authentication codes.

The best way for a small business to manage a very complex process like HR and payroll.
We are new customers to Rippling. My son did extensive research into payroll venders with benefits and other services. We were former Gusto customers and satisfied with many of its services, but it was limited when it came to benefits and integrating into mobile device management. We like the ease of use and awesome customer support through email. They reply within a minute or two with simple solutions using screen shots and explicit directions.
Nothing thus far. The walk you through everything. They make it hard to fail.

Overall, very positive. The Rippling team has been very responsive and helpful along our journey. The platform made an immediate and positive impact on payroll, benefits, and onboarding processes. I have evaluated numerous HR/payroll platforms (Gusto, Bamboo HR) and implemented Namely at my last company. Rippling is an improvement over all of them. Rather than trying to offer mediocre functionality across a breadth of items, they are focused on being the best at core features (payroll, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, IT lite, etc.) and then integrate with best-in-class apps for items like performance reviews, expense management,...).
1) Technology that makes my life better 2) Responsive team/customer service 3) Makes my team happy (because of #1 and #2). The thoughtfulness in workflows helps a lot.
1) I fear that the cost could very quickly grow -- initial pricing on modules is usually $/employee/month...regardless of how many people actively use the module. The team has been responsive to requests for different pricing schemes. 2) Data visibility (e.g. compensation info) is a bit limited on flexibility. It is either at the admin level (everything) or general user level (limited visibility). I expect this will change over time, but some more intermediate steps would be great (e.g. manager can see comp info, but not SSN, bank info, etc.).
Hey Douglas, Thanks so much for your feedback, we're always making improvements, so look out for updates around data visibility.
