Overall, PlanDay has been a useful and reliable tool for workforce planning. Once the team is familiar with the system, it supports efficient scheduling, clear communication, and better control over staffing and payroll processes.

Project Manager

In our induction it takes minutes to show new members of staff the clocking in and out process and where to see their shifts, or if there are any available shifts they can pick up.

It also allows you to see things such as your retention rate and monitor time in lieu.

With Planday it is all on your phone so it is much easier for everyone to know what is going on and remember to clock in and out and check rotas.

I have flagged issues with them before and these get acknowledged quickly and fixed or explained as to why it works that way.

It is a simple solution for shift management.

PlanDay ties you in from the moment you are in discussions with them and it's a minimum 12 month contract, which they do not let you out of, even if you have told them you don't want to go ahead 6 weeks before it even begins.  

Some systems trust they are good enough and don't tie you in with a contract but instead have a rolling month by month contract.

Ease of access and usage and very convenient to maintain a contact with hr team

We cancelled 6 weeks before the contract was due to start but they charged us for 12 months anyway.  

We signed a contract but our staff subsequently told us they already used PlanDay in other jobs and it was nto good.

There's no better functionality on the market but the loading times are horrible.

not so much a dislike more a feature I would benefit from is if there was an option to bulk print rotas, for example we post our rotas 4 weeks in advance (they get posted due to this being the preference as they are not good with technology) at the moment I have to print every individual locations Rota for every one of the 4 weeks and doing this for everyone is just so time consuming, so if there was a way to bulk print chosen locations from a date to date that would be very beneficial but other than that I have no dislikes about the system at all.

I run a bar with a staff force of over 20 people and they all use it with no issues, claiming shifts, swapping shifts and booking holidays.

Viewing the weekly schedule in one screen allows us to keep on top of our planning.

We get a lot less mistakes with the clock in and outs compared to our old system, which means that it's a lot quicker to do the sense checks and approve time sheets each week prior to payroll.

The clocking in terminal on the ipad makes it very simple for Employees to clock in and out for breaks and when they arrive and leave with minimal mistakes.

It allows one flexibility to alter shifts in real time.

Not Applicable, there is not nothing that I do not like about Rotacloud, or the support team as they are always very helpful and timely with any assistance neeeded.

Also, the fact that you can't edit mistakes on things like peoples break clock ins / outs until the end of their shift is quite annoying.

We probably don't use the system to its full potential, but what we do use I have no complaints or issues

Managers love it, staff love it - 24/7 access to rotas & for submitting vacation requests, live updates straight to their phones - and we love it for it's ability to have timed clock-in/out, attendance records, etc for HR management.

However, one of the Pros to come out of any of the Cons is that the team are very hands on with customer issues and product updates initially came thick and fast.
