Paylocity has many aspects that I like, just a few the note taking section for meetings with employees to keep track of discussions, the ease of use in all areas of the software, customer support is in chat on a minute notice, which is helpful when running payroll and need a question answered in a pinch, time tracking is not used by our company but was at previous job and was great.

Visium Resources decided to make the switch from ADP to Paylocity, a move that has many hurdles to jump, as being a staffing company, our entire business revolves around paying our employees accurately with as few issues as possible.  

We have experienced several challenges with Paylocity, including occasional inaccuracies in time-off accruals and balance transfers, incompatibility with employees in American Samoa which requires manual work, and improperly configured EDI.

Occasionally, the backend configuration requires multiple steps or support tickets, especially for complex items like GL mapping or account alignment. But even with that, the support from Paylocity usually gets things resolved quickly.

We are now with a professional payroll company that calculates the wages correctly and pays our taxes on time, which was not happening with our previous payroll provider.

The system makes it so easy to sending out mass announcements, reviewing and approving timecards so that payroll is accurate, and best of all ---- the price is fantastic for everything they offer.  

We are able to create and save our payroll reports and all of our administrators can share the created reports for our organization.

I wish we could request specific changes and have customer service work on accommodating our request = example - I have requested to be able to enter a total goal amount of PTO for the year so an employee does not get overpaid.

What I like least about Paylocity is that functions and menus change too often, and when these updates occur, not all company configurations migrate correctly, which creates unnecessary confusion and extra work.

I dislike how you can not edit your hours if you make a mistake and that the home page is hard to navigate due to confusion because of the organization of where sections are located on home page.

Some areas, like cost center updates, historical data migration, and timecard corrections, can take a bit longer due to how certain workflows are structured.

The limitations with the Performance module is one of our biggest challenges.   While there are a variety of options, one major issue for us is the inability to use to mobile app to interface with our employees for this process.
